@nicoraytruth Bless you, brother Kirk. A reminder from the life of Elijah. The Lord was in the still small voice but he caused all of the other events before that to happen. Keep searching & patiently waiting, you’ll find Him. He loves you. We love and need you. Home is where you’ll find Him.
@reclaim_rainbow@ThoughtfulSaint@BroSpencer Great insult! But, as an aspiring Christian, trying to learn from a pro like you… I am having difficulty finding the scripture where we are commanded to mock the sadness of others, you know, the most grief-filled moments of other people’s lives… where is that?
@mamalinstro@Overly_Bored@LizzieMarbach@LargeInStature_ What’s scary is that this supposed Christian doesn’t understand the parable of the Good Samaritan & publicly states he thinks we’re evil & should be destroyed. No wonder a “Christian” w/ similar mentality killed several Latter-day Saints & burned their church in MI recently…
@LaurieDSouza@gaptoothdummy Except your spouse would like to hear you “say it”. So does the judge or preacher presiding over the actual (not mental) ceremony, BTW. I understand we disagree.
@LaurieDSouza@gaptoothdummy Actually I disagree with your interpretation (and so do at least one of the creeds) so I am with the Catholics and Baptists on this point. :)
@LaurieDSouza@gaptoothdummy …just like anyone can profess to be a follower of Christ, like wearing a cross around their neck, without entering into the covenant through baptism.

@LaurieDSouza@gaptoothdummy …where the covenant is made before God and witnesses or that you can witness before God that you are entering into the covenant of baptism without being baptized. I agree with you that anyone can put on a ring - that’s not getting married,

@LaurieDSouza@gaptoothdummy Except we’re not talking about a wedding ring… you’re saying that you can get married without the ceremony where the covenant is made before God and witnesses. Anyone can put on a ring - that’s not getting married.
@LizzieMarbach@LargeInStature_ Hey, Lizzie - I’m trying to understand Christianity better. Remind me again where Jesus commanded his followers to mock others… Was that the third great commandment, or was it right after “… love your enemies”?
@LaurieDSouza@gaptoothdummy Ok,
4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
@LaurieDSouza@gaptoothdummy He did say “… except a man be born of water and of the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God” though… (John 3:5) so there’s that.
