My takeaways from the biggest one-week stage race in cycling Tour AURA.
1. Seixas hype is helping Del Toro
For the last few weeks, we have clearly had the most underrated rider in the world. His name was Isaac Del Toro. All the media, all the attention went on “future Pogi” Seixas. And who their previously called future Pogi was completely forgotten.
I know, I noticed it. I follow the cycling content daily, I also create one, and when I was writing about Del Toro, or even posts with both, all the attention was going to Seixas. I get it, he is French, France is a big cycling nation, but still.
But I think it kinda helped the Mexican, especially after that Itzulia crash. There was no pressure on him; he could’ve recovered and prepared without pressure, and here is the result. The TARA overall win and showing that he is an alien, not just maybe some strong rider.
🦅🇲🇽 Keep soaring, @ISAACDELTOROx1 !
The first Mexican rider in history to win the #TourAuvergneRhoneAlpes overall title 🏆🇫🇷
A week to remember. A victory for the history books.

🥹 Jurgen Klopp posted this for Jota:
To Diogo, wherever you are now... When the whistle blows for the 2026 World Cup, everyone will not just look at the green pitch; our eyes and hearts will all turn toward the sky. You were always that brave, relentless warrior—the player who gave everything for the badge he wore, whether it was the famous red of Liverpool or your Portuguese national team jersey. Your tragic passing left a void and a heartache that no tournament or victory can ever fill. We used to talk a lot about this World Cup, and your immense passion to represent Portugal on the world's biggest stage. Today, despite your physical absence, I am absolutely certain that your fighting spirit and determined smile will be the most prominent presence in your teammates' dressing room. I am supporting Portugal in this tournament for you. I will cheer for your teammates because I know they won't just be playing for the trophy; they will be carrying your legacy and passion with every kick and every goal. Your number 21 jersey will remain alive in the memory of everyone who loved you and shared those historic moments with you. Rest in peace, my boy...❤🇵🇹
Mexican Continental team Petrolike, based in Italy, is on the brink of collapse. Unpaid riders and staff forced them to miss the Giro Next Gen despite an invitation. The UCI gave a June 12 deadline to settle debts or risk losing their license.

Tadej Pogačar to RSI Sport:
“Kids are so innocent and grateful probably for the rest of their life if show them that you care, if you stop and give them your bottle or autograph, I absolutely don’t have a problem to do it and they look up to me and I also want them to be a good person in the future.”
"I always think of myself as a normal person. When I'm out on the bike, I do normal things, like everybody. Cook yourself dinner, lunch, clean the apartment, do paperwork, go to the supermarket, wash the bike, wash the car, whatever. I consider myself as a normal guy. But then, of course, I'm also kind of grateful that people say that I'm special. But that's just on the bike."
“I don't chase any record. I just want to live in the moment and enjoy what I have now and see where the road goes. If I break some records, I break some records. If not, it doesn't matter. I will not obsess myself over anything."
"The thing that irritates me most is if I cannot show my best version of myself, but it doesn't happen very often. I always push myself to the limit, try my best, so I'm always kind of happy even if I lose. If I show that I give everything, then I'm always satisfied and happy. You can be disappointed, but never really angry."
"It was a good sensation riding against Paul. I was afraid that I would be like, okay, he's on my wheel, I give up or whatever, but he pushed me more, because I think he's a good kid, very mature for his age, and he's really racing with his heart. He gave me a bit more push for the future."
Cuando el Gobierno empieza a aconsejar como vivir con menos o como vivir con algo más barato, es evidente que no está pensando en cómo mejorar la vida de su gente.
