@jblaineyoung I think that there should be more coverage on issues that the news does not usually cover. I think that this is fair because public opinion is not identical for each person. Journalists can find creative ways to cover this news besides regular articles. #newsmediaandpolitics
@jeysthoughts_ I think that journalists calling out lies from politicians definitely had an impact on election results. I think that this is evident through the election results. #newsmediaandpolitics
@darrenpuccala I think that it is still a responsibility of the media to cover spikes and important information about COVID-19. Notable events in relation to the virus should be covered even thought the mask mandate has been lifted. #newsmediaandpolitics
@chardotiva I think that horse race coverage is pretty generic and unbiased. I think that applying the rule of reversibility when covering candidates in elections would help make the coverage less negative. #newsmediaandpolitics
@trentonhenk I do not think that media trust will return to where it used to be because of the level of polarization between the political parties. I think that many people recognize that in our world today many media outlets have a very calculated political agenda against the other side.
@Kai_hunts I think that the media has definitely played a role in increasing polarization as many media outlets are openly partisan. I think that if the media became more committed to being fair and balanced they could help reverse this trend, but I do not think this would be very likely.
