In one week the police went from “we did nothing wrong” to “he'd have died anyway.”

Watch that sentence change. That's a confession in slow motion.

“He'd have died anyway” is a defence to a charge nobody made. Not one person said the handcuffs caused Henry's death. So why are they so desperate to disprove it?

Because it's the only charge they can win.

They can't defend the real one. That they treated a dying, unarmed, stabbed teenager as the criminal. That they believed his killer over him. That they cuffed a boy begging nine times to breathe, and left him there while the man who knifed him was walked inside to pick his food.

No pathologist's report touches any of that.

So they swapped the question. We did nothing wrong became it wouldn't have mattered what we did. That's not an explanation. That's a force that has seen its own footage and knows it has no answer.

Henry's father said the only line that matters. The wound took his life. The police took his dignity.

No medical report ever written will sign that part off.

@visegrad24 Hmm? He’d been alive for around an hour after being stabbed? Then within 1-2 min of the police arriving he dies? They needed to leave him where he was and got an ambulance there… once they moved him in to the wrong position that’s when he died? Basic first aid training.

We must learn from the horrific and preventable death of Henry Nowak. Such a tragedy should never be allowed to happen again.

Reform UK will ensure that everyone is treated equally and fairly before the law.
