🗣️ “Manchester United’s stance on Marcus Rashford remains unchanged.

The club is open to listening to offers and there is a growing feeling internally that a permanent separation would be the best outcome for all parties.

While Rashford remains a player of significant quality, United’s focus is on building a new project and reshaping the squad.

Regarding Mateus Fernandes, Manchester United appreciate the player’s talent and potential.

However, the club does not currently believe the reported valuation represents good value in the market.

United’s recruitment team views Fernandes as a promising midfielder with a bright future, but there is caution about committing such a substantial fee.

If West Ham fail to lower their asking price, Manchester United are prepared to move on and pursue alternative targets.

The club has a number of midfielders on its shortlist and does not intend to become involved in a prolonged transfer saga.

Among the names being considered are Sandro Tonali, Carlos Baleba, Elliot Anderson, Ederson and Aurélien Tchouaméni.

United believe those players offer different qualities but are all capable of strengthening the midfield immediately.

The priority remains signing a midfielder who can bring athleticism, control, defensive security and leadership to the team.

As things stand, Fernandes remains admired, but Manchester United will not hesitate to explore other options if they feel the financial demands do not align with the player’s current market value.”

I’m glad this conversation happened between Bruno Fernandes and Roy Keane.

This was needed, and I hope the conversation ended on a good note. And we all know who apologised 😉.

But on a serious note, that phone call would have clarified a lot of things between them. Especially, Roy would have understood many things about Bruno. A rift between a former captain and the current captain isn’t healthy for a club of Manchester United’s stature.

This was one of my favourite football shows/podcasts to watch, if not my favourite. But I stopped watching the episodes because Roy was being too harsh on Bruno.

Thank goodness that phone call happened and everything got settled.
