One notable takeaway is that Atiku Abubakar has successfully navigated the 2027 general election debate away from religious sentiment and toward policy and the economy.
So, I have been in Jos for the past two days, and I am immediately reminded why this land was such an experience the last time.
So, I took a Bolt here in Jos, and it was N3,500.
The distance was like heaven. But it was just N3,500.
Then, it’s almost as though the government has told the keke guys not to charge above N500.
You can take a keke across the Atlantic in Jos, and it would be N500.
Then, the hotel where I am lodged. I am not even ashamed to say I am paying N15k per night.
But the room is big, the water is heated, and I have free Wi-Fi powered by Starlink. It is heavenly.
That’s not the highlight.
It is the courtesy of the service. Everyone calls me “sir.”
For breakfast, the lady was preparing my tea and bread.
I got uncomfortable because such courtesy is alien to me as someone from Lagos.
Like I have said before, I know good street food by how rude the woman is.
The other day at Ikeja Under Bridge, I bought rice from this woman.
The setup looked great. But when I engaged her and she was very warm and respectful, my heart sank.
I knew the food would not be good.
I was right.
But here in Jos? I feel human warmth.
Guys, God has to do something for us in Lagos.
You would hardly feel any human collective joy and community here.
The atmosphere is hard, tense, fast, and strained.
You won’t find that here in Jos. It is indeed peaceful.
Oh, people are respectful here. So, so respectful.
Finally, there’s a guy who sells suya around Lamingo Road.
Honestly, I think God called that guy to the ministry of suya.
I don’t think you can make suya like that if God is not with you.
No. That has to be a gift from above.
The meat listens to him.
They are so soft you feel like heaven makes contact with your teeth and tongue.
I shall go draw from his ministry tomorrow night. I must eat it before I leave.
Lastly, lastly, the Chinese rice here costs just N5,000.
My God, it does taste like China’s beautiful skyscrapers.
I shall draw from that ministry tomorrow too.
So, that’s been my experience so far in Jos.
It has been a delight.
This post here requires a full national conversation..it's worst than you can ever imagine @FinMinNigeria needs to look into the activities of @ippis regards to loan's
Just go to civil service agencies and ask for payslips in the IPPIS dept. You’d have to pinch yourself to believe you aren’t dreaming after seeing most workers’ net salary after all the numerous loan deductions. Some are left with 7k or 12k as net take-home. It’s really sad. Tinubu’s economy is not helping civil servants
Boss please go all out and address plateau issues, security, infrastructure and the poor and horrible performance of the incumbent.. your last interview in channels didn't do justice to all the above listed..too much respect for them...
TUNE IN TODAY! 📺
I will be on Political Paradigm on Channels Streamline at 11:30 AM, with the programme airing on Channels Television at 2:00 PM.
Join me for a conversation on the issues that matter to Plateau and Nigeria.
Cosmetics matter when you're rolling out painful reforms.
I think President Tinubu was badly advised on that front.
Removing fuel subsidy was always going to hurt, but relying largely on governors to deliver the relief and explain the benefits was a political and communication error.
When people feel the pain directly but don't see the relief directly, they naturally conclude that government has abandoned them.
Good policy can survive hardship. Poor packaging can make even necessary reforms look hostile.
That's why a good and active opposition can never be over emphasised... instead of wasting their precious time on certificates and FBI report that can never help you get votes.
Atiku says he’ll introduce fuel subsidy and suddenly every intervention by Tinubu becomes “Atiku’s effect.” 😂
Apparently, Tinubu has been asleep for three years and Atiku just discovered the alarm clock.🤷
Political pressure is real. But let’s not rewrite the entire administration’s policies around one opposition campaign promise.
A little clarification is needed here. Zacch Adedeji’s nomination to the APC Presidential Campaign Council as Deputy Director of Fundraising does not mean taxpayers’ money will be used to fund the campaign. Fundraising and tax collection are two different things.
Zacch has been involved in fundraising and financial management within the APC long before he became Chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service. So, this is not something he suddenly started because of his current position.
The figures also speak for themselves. NRS tax collection reached ₦28.3 trillion in 2025, above its ₦25.2 trillion target. In the first half of 2026, it collected about ₦21.6 trillion, showing strong growth in revenue collection.
So, where is the evidence that tax money is being diverted? Asking questions is fine, but jumping to conclusions without facts is not.
Some of the claims being pushed are simply mischievous and, unfortunately, many people are accepting them without checking the facts.
Let us understand the difference between raising money for a political campaign and collecting taxes for government. They are not the same thing. Facts should always come before outrage.
My landlord called me more than 6 times. When I answered he said he has increased rent by x3, then I woke up. Immediately I called my tenants and increased their rent x3 🤣
That’s how landlords operate.
Mood swings - rent increase
Economic rumors - rent increase
Currency rollercoaster - rent increase
Emotional problems - rent increase
Public disturbances - rent increase
Kai anything moves - rent increase
Dear Landlords ooo,
Please pity tenants. Property na your own, just please don’t take advantage of situations, be humane in your judgements before you deliver the decision please 🙏🏾
Seun and most TV anchors have a way of making guests who came prepared leave without giving the audience their best.
Imagine spending a chunk of the interview asking about frivolities like price of an Escalade when there are far more important issues the guest could be addressing.
This guy's don't even know that without Jude no Psquare..that N**** literally did everything,I mean everything..back then in Jos,they were just a dance group with other guys, before he dragged his 2 brothers out, made em big.he might be greedy I get,but that MF deserves his flowers
Apparently, the owner of the video wasn’t happy because of the backlash she received.
But honestly, if you put out a video publicly and you don’t want people to share or discuss it, then maybe don’t post it in the first place.
My concern is,they security challenges bedevilling us is far beyond the traditional policing modus operandi..I am seriously worried about the recruitment, the trainings etc
Now that the Senate has done its part and state police is edging closer to reality, the tough questions begin:
A. Who will fund it?
B. Will states recruit from scratch,
or
will a sizable number of federal police officers be absorbed into their respective state police forces?
