At the heart of every thriving student community is communication. When students are informed, they are empowered. When their voices are heard, they are valued. And when leadership remains accessible, trust is built. This is the vision I bring to this race—a Students' Union that listens, communicates, and delivers.

Today, I, Oluseye Emmanuel Olamilekan popularly known as MALEXY officially declare my intention to contest for the position of Public Relations Officer (PRO), Students' Union, University of Ilorin.

This declaration is not the beginning of my service to students; it is a continuation of a journey built on commitment, responsibility and effective communication. Through my various leadership roles, I have had the privilege of serving, informing, and engaging students, and these experiences have strengthened my resolve to do even more.

I believe every student deserves access to accurate information, timely updates, and a Students' Union that remains accessible, accountable, and responsive to their needs.

On this note, I proudly bring to you the ACCESS Agenda — a communication-driven blueprint built on Accuracy, Clarity, Consistency, Engagement, Speed, and Strategic Positioning . An agenda designed to ensure that every Unilorite is informed, involved, and represented through timely, reliable, engaging, and effective communication.

Every generation inherits a responsibility.
A responsibility not merely to enjoy the benefits of those who came before, but to build upon their sacrifices and leave behind something worthy of remembrance.

Today, with a deep sense of duty to our Union and an abiding belief in the possibilities of our student community, I, Ayanshina Olamilekan Sodiq, politically addressed as The Monarch, a 300 level student of the department of Sociology, faculty of Social Sciences, formally declare my intention to serve as the President of the Students' Union, University of Ilorin, for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Over the years, I have had the privilege of serving Unilorites in different capacities. Those experiences have taught me a simple lesson: our colleagues do not ask for perfection. They ask for leadership that listens, leadership that understands their realities, and leadership that is willing to work relentlessly in pursuit of solutions.
