"I set my sights on Baylor for nursing education with a Baptist foundation, bonding my two callings…
"As a Christian nurse, I strive to make my decisions revolve around not only how I can advocate for my patients, but also how I can serve them best."

We thought we had at least one skunk living in our bushes but we could never see it
I finally caught our neighbor’s man blazing up in the driveway before 9 am 😂
I am relieved though
I don’t want humanoid robots caring for my kids. I want humanoid robots to do all the housework and laundry and home management so I can care for my kids.
Well, when a child is conceived, the DNA split is 50/50 from both parents. Except for one small detail: mitochondrial DNA. It’s passed down only through the mother and never through sperm.
Which means something interesting: all living humans can trace their mitochondrial line back to one woman, not one man.
And every daughter born continues passing that same line forward.
Happy Women’s Day 💐
“Oh you have little ones? Who takes care of them since you’re spending all your time working?”
“Oh you only work PRN? Must be nice to spend so much time at home with your kids”
-the world expecting moms to work like they don’t parent and parent like they don’t have a job
The way my son just said “good.” after an exasperated sigh when I told him he doesn’t have to go to school tomorrow you would’ve thought he had 10+ years under his belt instead of the two-times-a-week prek he does 😅
Yesterday I told him I couldn’t decide on something else and he goes “remember what I said?”
“What did you say?” I barely remembered that conversation
“Just choose whatever is more fun!”
So y’all pray for me in 10-15 years bc this is clearly his life philosophy
😅😭
A couple weeks ago, I told my (4yo) son I was having trouble making a decision and he said “do what I do!”
“What do you do?”
“Just think of whatever is funner and do that!”
mornings with mom:
-no screen time until after brushed teeth and breakfast
-cereal only at the table
-as an ongoing debate, chocolate milk doesn’t belong in cereal
mornings with dad:
Eating cereal with chocolate milk on the couch while watching Curious George

SNEAK PEEK: Before it makes its TV debut Saturday, here's your first look at our new 30-second television spot for 2024-25. 🐻📺👀
Presenting "Never Get Used To This," featuring Baylor's own @forresure (BBA '17):
“When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these” (Mark 10:14 NIV)
“It would be better for them to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around their neck than to cause one of these little ones to stumble.” (Luke 17:2 NIV)
Jesus takes little children very seriously y’all, and he holds us accountable for how we welcome them, treat them and minister to them.
For those who this week are welcoming and loving children in VBSs or kids camps, be sure your Master is pleased.
May we remember His words and take them to heart, even when we are tired, when children are rowdy, and when it seems no one notices. It matters greatly.

I’m a Christian.
3 things I don’t want in our public schools:
1. Hungry kids going without food.
2. Religion imposed on kids because of a self obsessed political movement.
3. Hungry kids going without food thinking that’s what God wants because of said political movement.
What my 3 year old had for lunch: perfectly seasoned and soft chicken breast cut in bite sized pieces, side of baby carrots, strawberries and gummy bears for dessert (all organic, corn / allergen free)
What I had for lunch: sandwich on white bread, chips
Do I want them to question the status quo and people in authority and not blindly follow / work?
Absolutely
Do I want them to come here when I said come here, now? And don’t ask why
Also yes.
