(Border Area): As of 3:30 p.m. on Friday (Dec. 26), invading Thai troops have continued to deploy fighter aircraft to drop bombs and conduct intense artillery shelling into Chouk Chey village and Prey Chan village, Ou Beichoan commune, Ou Chrov district, Banteay Meanchey province, in an attempt to encroach upon and violate the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Cambodia.

Thai Attacks Kill 30 Cambodian Civilians, Displace Almost 640,000 as of Dec. 25: Interior Ministry
(Phnom Penh): Acts of aggression by the Thai government and military against Cambodiaβs sovereign territory between 7:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on 25 December 2025, including artillery fire and aerial bombardment into civilian areas, continue to cause serious humanitarian and material damage, according to an official report from Cambodian Ministry of Interior.
1. Deaths and Injuries:
One civilian was injured in Banteay Meanchey Province. In total, since 7 December, there have been 30 civilian deaths and 88 injuries.
2. Displacement of Civilians:
Since 7 December, there is a total of 639,987 displaced persons, including 333,631 women and 203,593 child ren. These figures may continue to change.
3. Destruction of Civilian Physical Infrastructure:
One house in Banteay Meanchey Province and one house in Battambang Province were damaged, In total, since 7 December, damage to private property includes 126 civilian houses, 6 privately owned buildings, apartments/hotels one gas station, 27 cars, one motorcycle, one cassava purchasing warehouse, one storage warehouse, and 2 cell towers. Damage to public property includes 6 schools, 2 health centers 13 government office buildings, 5 pagodas, one almsgiving hall, one vehicle, a number of ancient temples, 5 bridges, one market, and 2 road sections. As of now, more than half a million Cambodian people, of whom over 50% are women and more than 30% are children, are suffering severe hardship after being forced to leave their homes and schools to flee gunfire light and heavy artillery shelling, and aerial bombings by Thailandβs fighter jets, which haves repeatedly destroyed their homes, schools, and communities. Moreover, the destruction of the statue of Lord Vishnu on Cambodiaβs sovereign territory by the Thai military has not only caused severe psychological trauma to the Cambodian people, but has also provoked reactions and condemnation from international public opinion, particularly among followers of Hinduisn worldwide, including leaders and citizens of India.
The Ministry of Interior of the Royal Government of Cambodia calls upon foreign friends, particularly the United States of America, China, Malaysia, and ASEAN friends, to remain actively engaged in supporting efforts toward the permanent de-escalation and the achievement of lasting peace, which reflects Cambodiaβs long-standing aspiration. As explicitly stated by Cambodia at the Special ASEAN Foreign Ministersβ Meeting, Cambodia seeks to resolve disputes, including border delimitation, through peaceful means, in accordance with international law, the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC), as well as existing treaties and mechanisms.

(Border): As of 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday (Dec. 16), Thai invading forces launched intense attacks using heavy artillery and infantry against the battlefields of Prey Chan village, Chouk Chey village, and Boeung Trakuon in Banteay Meanchey province.
Thai troops attempted a ground assault on Prey Chan, deploying infantry units in an effort to break through Cambodian defensive positions. The attack was successfully repelled, and Thai forces failed to breach Cambodian lines.
Cambodian forces responded decisively, retaliating with force and firmly preventing any intrusion or occupation of their positions.
