Thank you so much for your comment! If by "public" you mean making the 3D model publicly available, I don't think I'll be doing that, as I'd like this level of detailed design to become part of my artistic style or signature, so to speak.
What I do plan to do, though, is make an in-depth video, something along the lines of a breakdown, showcasing the entire frigate, its hardware, and all the systems and interior spaces I've modeled in 3D.
That said, I wouldn't rule out eventually learning how to mod and optimizing the model to turn it into a multiplayer map for Halo or Arma 3.
Testing the hangar bay doors on the Paris-class frigate, along with emissive material lighting tests. The opening animation still needs some polishing to make it smoother and feel more mechanical. #halo#unsc
Puro humo.
Thanks a lot, man. The Paris itself is an absolute delight.
And regarding the doors, I was testing different opening configurations, and I thought they looked cooler opening inward rather than outward. But of course, it doesn’t really make sense to sacrifice interior space just for something that looks cool.
Somehow, during testing, I really liked how clean the ship looks from the outside and how cool the doors look from the inside when they open inward. But yeah, opening outward would definitely make the most sense.
I also liked the mixed alternative, where the upper section opens upward and the lower section opens downward.
And I don’t mind these kinds of questions at all. In the end, feedback is also one of the reasons why I share this whole process.
Paris-Class Side Hangars
Details and more details: Including, why not, a “control tower” next to the hangars to coordinate and assist with the arrival and departure of supply ships and Pelicans.
I’ll use the larger turrets as M60 Sentries and add a few Ramparts for anti-aircraft defense.
