I want to bring back some values from 2021 that can balance Solana NFTs.

There is something inexplicable about the energy we felt during the start of nfts.

When I started reflecting on it, I realized that many of the things we changed to improve the space are not truly progress.

Many things improved. Many did not.

Here are a few observations of 2021:

- We had more hope, faith and passion for NFTs and for Solana. We believed more without the need to be convinced.

- We all understood how necessary it was to attract ETH whales to Solana, so we worked together as a unified nft space rather than dividing ourselves.

- There were no roadmaps/promises and this was never an issue for minters. The term utility was pretty much inexistent.

- If a project had art, that was enough to satisfy all the Solana degens at the time. We did not expect much from an nft.

- Our expectations were so low, that we were only disappointed with hard rugs, but not by the lack of utilities/promises.

- The division between the team and the community was less noticeable. The team was the community, and the community members were the team.

- We did not blame founders for the lack of success. In fact, we barely even knew the founders publicly lol. Communities were equally as responsible for projects as founders or the team.

- If we wanted FP to go up, we would do the work as a unified community without relying on founders or the teams.

- Our energy and attention was more focused on a few projects only and not dispersed in 1000 different ones.

- Getting rugged was not an excuse to stop minting but it was accepted as part of the NFT game we were all a part of.

- We were less fearful and doubtful of everyone and everything in the space. Now we call any founder a rugger before giving them a chance just to be sure.

- Community members invested money from their own pockets to sustain NFT projects or promote them to web2 or Ethereum.

- The space was a lot simpler, we did not need to understand anything technical to be a part of an NFT community. We have overcomplicated a lot of aspects of nfts.

- Diamond holding was actually a thing and flipping was less common in the space. Paper hands were not respected and there was a lot of sell shaming lol.

- Things were highly intuitive back then. Nowadays, some nft utilities are so complex that not even an og like myself can understand how to move around or how to use certain features.
