“This is my will, and my final message.
If these words have reached you, know that Israel has succeeded in killing me and silencing my voice.
First of all, peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you.

God knows that I gave everything I had in effort and strength to be a support and a voice for my people, ever since I first opened my eyes to life in the alleys and streets of the Jabalia refugee camp.
It was my hope that God would grant me a long enough life to return, with my family and loved ones, to our original hometown of occupied Asqalan (al-Majdal).
But God’s will came first, and His decree is carried out.

I lived pain in all its details. I tasted loss and grief time and again.
Despite this, I never once failed to convey the truth as it is, without falsification or distortion, hoping that God would bear witness to those who stayed silent, those who accepted our killing, those who choked our breaths, and those whose hearts were unmoved by the torn bodies of our children and women, and who did nothing to stop the massacre being committed against our people for more than a year and a half.

I urge you to hold fast to Palestine - the jewel of the crown of the Muslim nation, and the heartbeat of every free soul in this world.
I urge you to care for its people and its innocent, wronged children, whose short lives were not long enough to let them dream or live in safety and peace.
Their pure bodies have been crushed by thousands of tons of Israeli bombs and missiles, their limbs torn apart, their remains scattered on walls.

I urge you not to let chains silence you, nor borders restrain you. Be bridges toward the liberation of the land and its people, until the sun of dignity and freedom rises over our usurped homeland.

I urge you to take good care of my family.
I urge you to take care of the apple of my eye, my beloved daughter Sham, whom fate has not allowed me to see grow up as I had dreamed.

I urge you to take care of my dear son Salah, whom I wished to stand beside and walk with until he grew strong enough to shoulder the burden with me and continue the mission.

I urge you to take care of my beloved mother, whose blessed prayers brought me to where I am today, whose supplications were my fortress and whose light illuminated my path.
I pray to God to soothe her heart and reward her on my behalf with all goodness.

I urge you also to take care of my life partner, my beloved wife, the mother of Salah, Bayan.
The war kept us apart for days and months, yet she remained true to our bond, steadfast like the trunk of an olive tree that never bends, patient and trusting in God, carrying the responsibility in my absence with all strength and faith.

I urge you all to gather around them and be their support after God Almighty.

If I die, I die steadfast in principle. I bear witness before God that I am content with His decree, faithful in meeting Him, and certain that what is with God is better and everlasting.

O God, accept me among the martyrs, forgive me my past and future sins, and make my blood a light that illuminates the path of freedom for my people and my family.

Forgive me if I fell short, and pray for me to be granted mercy, for I have kept the promise, and I did not change or turn away.

Do not forget Gaza…
And do not forget me in your righteous prayers for forgiveness and acceptance.
