Bhai, jo verse tum log “sword verse” bolke chillate ho (Surah At-Tawbah 9:5 aur 9:29), unka context 10 minute mein samjha deta hoon, bilkul facts ke saath – taaki agali baar muh band rahe.

1. **Surah At-Tawbah (9:5) – “Kill the polytheists wherever you find them”**
→ Yeh verse sirf un Arab mushrikeen (Makkah ke Quraish) ke liye hai jinhone Hudaybiyyah ka sulah-naama toda aur Musalmanon pe hamla kiya tha.
→ Usi surah mein 4 aayatein baad (9:7–9:13) khud Allah ne context diya hai: “जब तक वो तुम्हारे साथ अमन का अहद निभाते रहे, तुम भी निभाओ। लेकिन जिन्होंने अहद तोड़ा और तुम्हारी औरतों-बच्चों को मारने की कोशिश की, उनके साथ लड़ो।”
→ 4 mahine ka time diya gaya tha ki ya toh aman kabul kar lo ya ladai. Aaj koi woh treaty nahi tod raha, toh yeh verse apply hi nahi hota.

2. **Surah 9:29 – “Fight those who do not believe… until they pay jizya”**
→ Yeh Byzantine Empire aur unke allies ke liye tha jo 629–630 CE mein Tabuk expedition ke dauraan Musalmanon pe full-scale war ki tayyari kar rahe the.
→ Jizya tha “war tax” – badle mein non-Muslims ko state protection, army service se exemption aur apna mazhab rakhne ki full freedom milti thi.
→ Aaj koi Islamic state nahi jo jizya le, na koi Byzantine empire hai – toh yeh verse bhi historical hai, universal hukum nahi.

3. **Asli universal hukum kya hai?**
→ Surah Al-Mumtahanah 60:8 (jo baad mein nazil hui aur koi nasikh nahi hui):
“Allah tumhein mana nahi karta ke tum un logon ke saath nek sulook aur insaaf karo jo tumse deen ki wajah se nahi lade aur tumhein tumhare gharon se nahi nikala.”
→ Yani peaceful non-Muslims ke saath pyar-insaaf karo, bilkul allowed aur recommended.

4. **Self-defence ka rule**
→ Surah Al-Baqarah 2:190–193 clearly kehta hai:
“जो तुम पे हमला करे उसी से लड़ो, हद से आगे मत बढ़ो। और अगर वो रुक जाएं तो बस कर दो।”

Toh short mein:
Jo verses tum log 1400 saal purana “kill everyone” bana ke propaganda karte ho, woh specific war-time treaties aur aggressors ke liye the – aaj apply nahi hote.

Ab agali baar yeh bakchodi mat karna, warna context ke saath itna pelunga ki WhatsApp university band ho jayegi. Samjhe?

The word “shaheed” (martyr) in Islam does **not** mean someone who kills innocent people. In fact, the Quran teaches the exact opposite:

﴾مَن قَتَلَ نَفْسًۢا بِغَيْرِ نَفْسٍ أَوْ فَسَادٍۢ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَكَأَنَّمَا قَتَلَ ٱلنَّاسَ جَمِيعًۭا وَمَنْ أَحْيَاهَا فَكَأَنَّمَآ أَحْيَا ٱلنَّاسَ جَمِيعًۭا﴿
“Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that **whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land – it is as if he had slain mankind entirely. And whoever saves one – it is as if he had saved mankind entirely.**”
(Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:32)

This verse is addressed to all of humanity through the Children of Israel, and the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ confirmed it applies to everyone. Killing even **one innocent life** – Muslim or non-Muslim – is like killing the whole of humanity in the sight of Allah.

People who say “the Quran orders to kill non-believers” are sadly twisting the verses. The Quran only allows fighting in **self-defence** and under extremely strict conditions:

﴾وَقَـٰتِلُوا۟ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّذِينَ يُقَـٰتِلُونَكُمْ وَلَا تَعْتَدُوا۟ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُعْتَدِينَ﴿
“Fight in the way of Allah those who fight you **but do not transgress**. Indeed, Allah does not like transgressors.”
(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:190)

And even during legitimate defence, the rules are beautiful and humane:

- Do not kill women, children, elderly, or priests/monks who are not fighting
- Do not destroy crops, trees, or places of worship
- Do not harm those who surrender or seek peace
- If the enemy inclines toward peace, you must stop fighting immediately (Surah Al-Anfal 8:61)

The Quran even says:

﴾لَآ إِكْرَاهَ فِى ٱلدِّينِ﴿
“There is no compulsion in religion.”
(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:256)

Islam came to protect life, honour, and freedom of belief, and peace. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
“A Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hand the people are safe.” (Bukhari & Muslim)

So please don’t let the actions of a few extremists or the misquoting of verses fool you. Read the Quran yourself with an open heart – you’ll find it is one of the most peaceful, merciful, and justice-loving messages ever revealed to humanity.

Islam is peace. Literally – the word “Islam” comes from the same root as “salam” (peace).
May Allah guide us all to the truth and fill our hearts with love and peace. 🤍
