New: Milwaukee Police Release Video of Off-Duty Officer Attacked, Opening Fire in Self-Defense
Police released dashcam footage showing an off-duty Milwaukee officer being pistol-whipped by 33-year-old Elijah Wilks before the officer opened fire in self-defense.
The altercation began after a minor traffic crash, escalating when Wilks struck the officer in the head with a handgun.
The officer, a 20-year veteran of the department, fired several rounds, fatally wounding Wilks.
The West Allis Police Department is leading the investigation under standards for officer-involved shootings.
Wilks’s family has acknowledged he engaged in a struggle before being shot.
@wendi_g0@DudespostingWs it’s a gun safe dumbass. and in california if you don’t have your guns locked in a safe like such you can get in trouble with the state if your firearms safely locked in storage preventing access
@nikgeneburn @Dyyrin that is a total lie. i’ve had eod since 2020 and logged into the arena website in august. my buddy got eod in 2022 and has access already. another friend of mine bought a standard arena account and got access within 24 hours yet your long standing players are sitting thumb in ass
@nikgeneburn@bstategames that’s funny like we even got arena at all with eod. my buddies buying standard accounts this week have gotten acces before me and i’ve had eod for years
@tarkovarena merry christmas and thanks for not letting me get access to arena after owning eod for three years but my buddy who bought a standard arena account two days ago got access within 24 hours
@tarkovarena people buying standard arena accounts in the last few days shouldn’t be getting access before eod accounts. i’ve had eod for a few years and no access yet whatever. my homie just bought a standard arena account 2 days ago and got access today. what is this bsg?
@nott_zed@gunpolicy you are presenting an invalid argument because a 5.56 round (round commonly used in ar15s) is on average 55-77 grains in weight. the most common handgun round 9mm on average are 115-147 grains almost double the weight of the round fired from the gun
