🚨 Casemiro on a funny moment at Manchester United this season:
🗣️ “Against Fulham, Cunha dribbled into the box and was fouled. The referee immediately pointed to the spot and we started celebrating.
Then the Fulham players surrounded the referee and protested. VAR checked it and ruled the foul was outside the box, so the penalty was changed to a free-kick.
I looked at Cunha and thought, ‘They’ve just made all your hard work pointless.’
A few moments later, Bruno delivered a brilliant ball from the free-kick and I scored.
After the game, Cunha and I went over to their captain and asked: ‘Honestly, which would you have preferred…the penalty or the free-kick goal?’
He looked at us and said, ‘Please, just leave me alone.’
We thanked him for the protest and walked away.” 😂
🚨🗣️ Omar Berrada: “The four senior signings that we made last year have worked out really well. They've all played an important part in the success we've had.
“They're all very different. Senne is way more MATURE beyond his years, Cunha is a very charismatic player, and we've seen that on the pitch.
“Bryan is a bit more quiet but as soon as he steps on the pitch he becomes a leader, and Sesko has shown a hunger to improve every day he has been here, and we've seen the results over the last few months.
“So, I think we're very happy with the four senior signings we made, now we want to continue on that track, without forgetting that we have a squad that is hungry for winning and for success.” #MUFC [Mu]
🚨🗣️ Omar Berrada: “One of the goals that we've set out is to WIN the Premier League, the 21st league title before 2028. So, ideally, we do it next season and if not, then the following SEASON”. #MUFC [Mu]
Paul scholes speaking on Man united going for mateus Fernandes
🗣️Sometimes you don’t need to break the bank for a big name. You go for the next big name , and that’s exactly what Manchester United are trying to do with Mateus Fernandes.
His confidence on the ball, even when he’s surrounded by opposition players, is really impressive. He doesn’t panic, he sees the picture quickly and always wants to play forward.
He’s still young and has plenty to learn and playing alongside Bruno and kobbi mainoo will be perfect for his development.
With the potential he’s showing, I’ve no doubt he’ll become one of the best midfielders in Europe in the coming years."
