BREAKING: For two months the US blockade of Iran turned back 134 ships and disabled seven others without killing anyone. This week it killed three. None of the dead were Iranian. None were American. They were Indian sailors, Aditya Sharma, Shivanand Chaurasiya and Patnala Suresh, three of the 24 Indians aboard a Palau-flagged tanker the US says was moving Iranian oil, a shadow-fleet ship that had run it for years and never been sanctioned.
The dead are not the enemy. They are the men who crew the world’s oil, the Indians and Filipinos and Chinese who move the cargo everyone fights over and no one credits. The frontline of this war turned out to run through their engine room.
India is the partner Washington has spent twenty years courting to balance China, and this week that partner condemned a US strike and summoned Washington’s senior diplomat in Delhi. But notice what India did not do. It did not recall its own ambassador, did not touch trade, did not cut one thread of what it is building with Washington. The protest was loud and the retaliation was nothing, because not even three dead citizens outweigh what New Delhi needs from Washington against Beijing. That is the cold arithmetic this strike laid bare.
CENTCOM says the ship ignored repeated orders and was running Iranian crude. India says it wants accountability for civilians killed. Both can be true. What is not in dispute is the new fact in the water. The cost of this blockade is no longer counted only in barrels turned back. It is counted in three coffins flown home to India.
The cargo everyone watches is the oil. The cost no one counted is the crew.
@CountryGulshan Don't ever choose Agarwal Packers & Movers, whatever version that may be. There are many versions each claiming to be the original n others as fakes. Doesn't matter. All of them are frauds & avoid them. This is from a person who has personal experience & colleague's feedback.
A manager once came to HR asking to issue a warning letter.
''An employee is always late. I’ve told him many times'', he told HR.
Before sending the letter, HR called the employee for a quick chat.
He told the HR softly, ''I drop my daughter at school every morning. My wife passed away last year… there’s no one else to do it.''
HR didn’t issue the warning.
Instead, HR adjusted his shift by 30 minutes.
His performance improved.
His gratitude was silent, but deep.
HR isn’t about policies. It’s about people.
Rules maintain systems, but empathy builds commitment.
@manurishiguptha Couldn't agree more. @IndiGo6E as a brand was no nonsense, efficiency personified. Somewhere they lost the way and got #greedy and customers became secondary. The sense of being irreplaceable has been the downfall of many individuals as well as companies. #IndiGoCrisis
@3rdEyeDude Both the cars were zig zagging and changing lanes without a care in the world in an expressway. At the end the dash cam guy is the bigger culprit as he could see that the other car was driving rashly and could have maintained a safe distance.
If there ever was a venn diagram of politics, religion, business and opportunity, Baba Ramdev would be found right at the intersection of all of them ~ @MorningContext
Mine is not as influential a voice as that of some others who hurt doctors and modern medicine. But for whatever it is worth, I am standing up at home & applauding our doctors, hospitals, nurses & healthcare volunteers without whose sterling efforts, we would have lost many more
@ICICIBank Very convinient to hide in fineprint the most important condition that only the first 300 customers per day are eligible for the cashback. So many people must have done transactions expecting CB. Not mentioning this in the tweet raises questions about #ethic mantra of #ICICIBank
They are tired, frustrated with the lack of means to help and bearing the brunt of upset relatives at times! Here’s a huge shout out to all those selfless souls out there fighting every day to save lives 🙌🙌
I have a sincere request that the Central government should request BMC to clear Chinese encroachments in our borders looking at the efficient and swift action they have taken against Kangana Ranaut's office.
