Today, I officially opened the 4th Session of the 10th Parliament. The Second Republic remains committed to leaving no one and no place behind.
Zimbabwe is open for business, and our hard work is yielding remarkable fruits:
Single-digit inflation since Jan 2026. H1 forex inflows reached US$10.7B (projected US$20B by year-end). Anchoring mineral beneficiation with Africa’s first locally produced lithium sulphate.
Power grid stabilized via Kariba, Hwange, and solar. Major upgrades underway for Harare-Beitbridge, Bulawayo-Vic Falls highways, Kariba Airport, and NRZ rail wagons.
International football returns to the National Sports Stadium. Vic Falls Cricket Stadium is on course for the 2027 World Cup. Proud to assume our UN Security Council seat for 2027-2028.
We are ready to navigate climate variations through our Six Pillar agricultural plan. Together, we build a prosperous, modernized nation.
God bless Zimbabwe!
The moment #ZIM1 makes its entrance at the @ZANUPF_Official HQ, the atmosphere changes. The Party’s First Secretary and President, Cde @edmnangagwa, arrives for the Politburo Meeting, as the Party’s leadership converges to deliberate on matters of national importance.
The Politburo is now in session.
Today, I had the privilege of chairing the 397th Ordinary Session of the ZANU PF Politburo at our party headquarters in Harare.
As we met, we paid a special tribute to our founding fathers, the late former President Robert Mugabe and former Vice President Simon Muzenda. Their enduring legacy continues to inspire deep unity, patriotism, and love for our great country.
Looking ahead, preparations for the upcoming 23rd National People's Conference in Chinhoyi are progressing exceptionally well. Operating under the theme "From Resolutions to Results," I have firmly charged the Party leadership to ensure our resolutions translate directly into tangible, life-changing results for our people.
On the economic front, our nation continues to witness a steady rise in investor confidence. This is clearly evidenced by the recent opening of the new $24 million USD Ecobank Head Office in Harare, alongside the highly positive engagements we secured with American business leaders at the UN General Assembly. Furthermore, the successful hosting of the Sanganai Tourism Expo in Masvingo showcases the immense resilience and potential of our tourism sector.
While we celebrate these successes, we remain proactive in safeguarding our communities against climate risks. Ahead of the predicted below-normal rainfall, the Government has formally approved a comprehensive Six-Pillar Drought Mitigation Plan to ensure food security and community support nationwide.
On the global stage, Zimbabwe’s diplomatic footprint continues to grow. We remain fully committed to multilateralism and diplomacy as we prepare to assume our seat on the UN Security Council in January 2027.
Additionally, we look forward to hosting the 25th COMESA Summit, where Zimbabwe will proudly assume the Chairmanship.
I call upon all party members and citizens to remain focused, united, and disciplined. Together, we are building a prosperous Zimbabwe, leaving no one and no place behind.
A proud and spirited performance by our national team tonight at the National Sports Stadium.
While the final score did not go our way against the Democratic Republic of Congo, our players gave everything on the pitch and treated us to a genuinely magnificent game of football. They showed exceptional character, skill, and resilience against formidable opponents, proving that our football is moving in the right direction.
Defeats are tough, but they are also the foundation of future victories. We stand firmly behind the team and the technical staff as they regroup for the rest of the AFCON qualification campaign.
Thank you to the thousands of patriotic fans who filled the stadium and roared until the final whistle. Our journey continues!
Today, I had the honor of addressing the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly under the theme: "Restoring Trust, Managing Transformation." 🇺🇳🇿🇼
In a world facing intensifying climate shocks and conflict, humanity’s challenges know no borders. No nation can overcome them alone. To restore global trust, international law must be applied universally—not selectively. It cannot be a shield for some and a sword against others.
As Zimbabwe prepares to take its seat on the UN Security Council for the 2027-2028 term, we do so guided by our foreign policy: "a friend to all and an enemy to none." Our commitments are clear:
:Promoting preventive diplomacy and peaceful conflict resolution.
:Strengthening UN ties with the African Union to silence the guns.
:Advancing the crucial peace and security agendas for women and youth.
True collective security means reforming the Security Council to move past 1945 realities. Africa is united, sovereign, independent, and rising. The outdated "horse and rider" mentality and unilateral coercive measures have no place in modern global discourse.
Peace cannot endure without development. Domestically, Zimbabwe is proving what is possible. Through robust reforms, our GDP has grown three-fold since 2017. Zimbabwe is open for business! We are accelerating food security through climate-smart agriculture and leaving no one and no place behind through aggressive rural industrialization.
Let us protect the UN Charter, reject selective compliance, and build a fairer, more inclusive world for succeeding generations.
I thank you.

@faz_trust With the amount of infrastructure projects happening under the Second Republic this is a good move in having such factories in our nation. This is creates direct and indirect jobs.
His Excellency President Dr ED Mnangagwa today leads a delegation of Cabinet Ministers on a tour of Pricabe Farm.
The tour offers Ministers an opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the First Family’s agricultural operations and deepen their appreciation of the role of modern, productive agriculture in Zimbabwe’s economic transformation.

I once made this post and @JMafume said no plain clothes officers. However the last 3 days these plain clothes guys are not stopping and are walking with steel pipes to insert on tyre's. My question is nhai Mayor do you just talk cause hapana action happening?
This morning I saw plain clothed Council police chasing this kombi for some violations, this is at the corner of townhouse where it occurred. @JMafume is this the way your officials operate? What's their code of conduct and are your orders being listened to?

@KMutisi@advocatemahere This is a big investment and we need to see how we can acquire the shares that can help us be economically sound in such a venture.
It was an honor to deliver the opening remarks today at the 4th Session of the Zimbabwe-South Africa Bi-National Commission (BNC) in Pretoria.
I want to extend my deepest gratitude to my brother, His Excellency President Cyril Ramaphosa, and the people of South Africa for their exceptionally warm welcome and generous hospitality.
Beyond our geographic borders, Zimbabwe and South Africa share deep-rooted historical relations, ancestry, cultural ties, and a common bond forged in our anti-colonial and anti-apartheid struggles. We are one people with linked destinies.
As we deliberate under the vital theme of infrastructure development, agriculture, and critical minerals transformation, our focus remains clear:
•De-risking our economies from external shocks
•Building strong, resilient regional supply chains
•Boosting mutual trade—noting that Zimbabwe imported $3.8 billion worth of goods from SA last year alone
Our partnerships across iron, steel, agriculture, healthcare, and education prove that together we are stronger. When South Africa thrives, Zimbabwe thrives too!
Let us continue to leverage our strategic economic projects to build a more prosperous future and a higher quality of life for all our peoples.
Over the next two days, Zimbabwe and South Africa will hold crucial high-level talks to strengthen economic trade, energy cooperation, cross-border infrastructure, and regional security.
Together, we continue to build stronger bridges for sustainable development and shared prosperity within the SADC region
When the economy is DOING GREAT, people even forget who is the Governor of the @ReserveBankZIM …
Yesterday, the RBZ released the Midterm Monetary Policy Report but folks were focusing on the STRATEGIC AMBIGUITY debates.
Well, it tells you that President @edmnangagwa got it right!
The numbers are all pointing to a MASSIVE INCREASE in local production, a clear sign that the economy is growing…. Zimbabwe is GROWING & keeps growing, surely Vision 2030 is going to be achieved before 2030.
@KMutisi@edmnangagwa Congratulations to these Senators who are being appointed. We hope to see more development and national growth in Zimbabwe and the party.
Please join me in thanking President @edmnangagwa for recommending the appointment of Dr Tagwirei as a Senator…
Vision 2030 can only be realised when ALL HANDS ARE ON DECK, especially those with the SKILLS & INTELLECTUAL STAMINA required in a modern economy.
President Mnangagwa’s biggest STRENGTH so far is his ability to bring the BEST BRAINS in Zimbabwe into his team… Unlike other leaders who surround themselves with below average people, ED looks for the best …
Congratulations to Dr Tagwirei and others who will be entering the Senate….
Wonderful to join my brother, President Cyril Ramaphosa, and fellow SADC Heads of State and Government at the welcome dinner in Durban last night.
As South Africa assumes the SADC Chairmanship, Zimbabwe remains deeply committed to our shared regional goals. We will continue working hand-in-hand with our neighbours to drive resilient, sustainable industrialisation through infrastructure growth, agriculture, and critical minerals transformation.
Together as a united SADC region, we are building a more prosperous and self-reliant Africa.
