Any financial support for any industrial sector needs to be chanellised through banking frameworks with strict auditing and there should be no govt officers do decisions on case by case basis. Otherwise this amounts to corruption and no matter what idealistic approach govt wants to take, officials will find a way for corruption.

For startups and SMEs please ensure banks provide over drafts based on revenue run rates without any Turn over criteria set like 1Cr as they are less likely to meet the same.

Small business owners do face constraints and end up having their credit ratings impacted which also needs to be understood. Not that all business owners are criminals or are having intentions to do fraud with banking. There should be a pragmatic approach in funding startups and SMEs.
