Another unexpected kitten today🥺...
We responded to a plea from a home owner, who found this baby under a wood pile, after hearing cries in his backyard💔
We rushed to pick him up and took him to the vet just now.
Turns out that unfortunately he is almost blind.

The cold does not pass. It stays, biting deeper each night. We burn scraps of wood just to keep our hands moving. We stand for hours in water lines, and the little money we hold cannot feed both our children and the cats who look at us with trust and hunger.
I look into my family’s tired, worried eyes and wish I had more than empty words to offer. Our cats tremble nearby, searching for warmth that no longer exists. My hands shake from exhaustion, my pockets are empty, and my heart breaks each day I fail to give even the smallest comfort.
Please, don’t look away. The w💥a💥r may have paused, but our suffering has not. We are cold, we are hungry, and we are holding onto a fragile hope that someone still cares, please we depend on your humanity 🙏🐾🐱👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🇵🇸

🆘🆘 TWISTYFIG (ID 239536), 1 YO, MALE – IN MANHATTAN ACC - came into the shelter as an owner surrender on 10/18/2025, with the surrender reason stated as person circumstance- hoarding situation. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿

➡️TBD 12/25/25

➡️ JUST A BABY

➡️ NEW HOPE PARTNER RESCUE ONLY

➡️ TOO LOW ON PLEDGES TO STIMULATE RESCUE INTEREST

➡️🆘🆘 9TH Chance on Emergency Placement List – ALMOST UNPRECEDENTED – AND SHELTER AT MAXIUMUM CAPACITY - NOW IS THE TIME TO ACT/HELP TWISTYFIG - HIGHEST EU/SILENT KILL RISK- VERY LIKELY LAST CALL FOR TWISTYFIG.

➡️ 67 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT

➡️ TWISTYFIG IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS -He is not thriving in the care center and is deteriorating in the Adoptions room. He is now displaying signs of boredom and frustration. “Deteriorating in the Adoptions room” IS OFTEN A DEATH SENTENCE IN THE SHELTER. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 🔥🔥🔥🔥

A volunteer writes: Twistyfig came to the Care Center ready to make the most of it, happily accepting and leaning into pets as he greeted us with his friendly and open heart. Maybe shelter life didn't turn out to be what Twistyfig expected, or maybe it's just really, really hard. Whatever combination of factors it was, Twistyfig's approach to shelter life has changed considerably. He still wants to engage with us, albeit differently and with a couple of caveats. Mostly Twistyfig wants everything to go his way and honestly, I completely get it. He actually waits for his way to happen sitting on top of his little cubby with bright eyes and outstretched paws and when it inevitably doesn't, Twistyfig quickly asks for some space. We can understand that shelter life is quite a shift since Twistyfig came to us from a home with many other cats and maybe hasn't had as many opportunities to meet new people as other cats have had. We know that a second chance with a patient and loving forever family who wants to learn about his way will be just the right fit for this very special guy. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻

NEEDS OUT OF SHELTER ASAP –

Please RT or pledge, if you can, to save this little one.

@AdamsPaulGrimke

💔😿🙏Thank you

🐾 Warm Hearts, Safe Paws – Mahmoud & Warda | Help Animal Gaza
They were left behind in silence.
A small box, beside broken stones, holding lives that had just begun.
Only a few days old, with no warmth and no mother,
their cries were softer than the world around them.
I couldn’t walk away.
So I chose to stay, to try, to believe that mercy can still win.
They’re alive today because someone stopped.
Because care arrived before the cold did.
Right now, what they need most is proper puppy milk formula for newborns their age.
Regular milk is not enough for such fragile lives.
I’ve made sure they are kept warm, protected, and cared for correctly,
but without the right milk, their chance to survive becomes very small.
Please watch the video until the end.
If you can’t donate, sharing this post truly matters — reach has become painfully slow.
Your support helps provide milk, medicine, and warmth —
the simplest things that mean everything to them.

This poor girl has had a rough street life. Now she is safe and warm and won’t have to face this harsh winter. Our vet said she is geriatric and she should not have to live outside anymore. She might not have made it through the winter.
