Reference Librarian. Somewhat-obsessive runner. If I had a dime for every patron who told me to 'smile more' I'd be a millionaire and not a public librarian.
@tumtonks My son wanted a @Microsoft party a few years ago. He was insistent so I had to make everything. I also took him to the Microsoft store to celebrate.
Patron called looking to donate encyclopedias. I told her we don't take them but gave her a number for a local organization because she said they were "brand new." Then she said "well they are 30 years old but they are in mint condition." #books#LibraryTwitter#libraries
@SaraHall3@ASICSamerica My 16 yr old son ran faster ystdy at Cow Harbor than I ever have after training all summer and I'm totally feeling this post.🏃♀️
@legroff HBD! It's my birthday too! Here is a photo of the wisteria from my backyard. My husband transplanted it from his grandma's house and has carefully tended to it.
A patron just asked about one of our museum passes and how many people it admitted. I told her 2 adults & children. She asked if they might allow for her 98-year-old father to be considered a child so that her husband could go as well. #librarylife#librarians#libraries
On Tuesday, the Mega Millions drawing from the New York Lottery gave players the "incorrect input" of winning numbers, which resulted in an incorrect Mega Ball number being published. According to the lottery, this was the result of "human error." https://t.co/iZDTSAWrox
I’m in this southwest flight aka communism airlines and the flight attendant said “it was a pleasure having most of you on this flight” and man, that’s the kind of petty I support 😂
