@GrahamCoffeyDC North Oconee High School. My older son very rarely watches sports. But he watched the last few innings. When Byrd came on he said I played Xbox with him in middle school.
@JosiahHawthorne@M_Sorentino Yes the best decisions are solo CEO masterpieces. Don’t you know that? The bad ones are community property. Better stick to bee keeping.
@M_Sorentino Maybe I’m less trusting. I think they rarely course correct. Also, if bad decisions do lead to layoffs, how often is the Chief bad decision maker among those laid off?
@CAPotts@NicoleAuerbach That’s true. But losing streaks lead to borrowing streaks to cover losses and win it all back. Sometimes from shady lenders who aren’t concerned with fairness. Or so I’m told. Her point is legit.
@JimNicar@UTAustin I remember it from the mid '80s. Never went. It seemed odd to me. I remember getting on the UT shuttle at Jester. A native American kid I knew was getting on with me. He was alone. I asked him where he was going. One-word reply: tavern. I've wondered about him many times.

The wise man recognizes the convenience of a general statement, but bows to the authority of a particular fact. Somehow I learned that one as a kid (don’t ask me how). As an adult I’ve seen less bowing than I expected.
