Building on the success of the recent Nigeria-US Binational Commission held in Abuja last month, I was hosted by US @StateDept @DeputySecState, Kurt Campbell, alongside Deputy National Security Adviser, Jon Finer @DOJNatSec, for a working lunch to hold strategic discussions on a wide range of issues.

The session also included representatives from @USAID, the Agency for Trade and Development @USTDA, as well as the Departments of Defense and Commerce.

We engaged in meaningful dialogue on key issues such as African regional security, democracy, trade and investment, digital economy, AGOA, repatriation of stolen funds, and public health.

Following the working lunch, we had breakout sessions to address technical aspects of multilateral reform and the protection of religious freedom.

We reaffirmed our commitment to further developing a comprehensive global relationship between Nigeria and the United States.

I had the pleasure of meeting with @ValdecyUrquiza who paid a courtesy visit to @NigeriaMFA ahead of the 92nd General Assembly of #INTERPOL in Glasgow, United Kingdom, scheduled for November 2024.

I hosted 18 @SchwarzmanOrg, led by Oluwatamilayo Austen-Peters, from the 9th Cohort of the prestigious graduate fellowship program at Schwarzman College, Tsinghua University in Beijing, China @NigeriaMFA. They are in Nigeria to study our foreign policy drive as well as bilateral and multilateral engagements.

I shared Nigeria's stance on global affairs, our aspirations for the #UNSC and #G20; diplomatic and economic ties with China, India, USA, Russia, and others countries, highlighting Nigeria's role as a regional powerhouse.
