Reducing the green card backlog is at the core of our immigration reform advocacy. @BPC_Bipartisan’s latest report finds American voters value highly skilled legal immigration, yet many don't understand the challenges faced by immigrants in getting a green card. Read more here:
Hospital in Iowa just told me they will likely close their ICU as they can’t find an intensivist. I have to say no to help them as I am in green card backlog& thousands of docs like me cant help due to being stuck in green card backlog. #fixgreencardbacklog it’s hurting Americans
The U.S. needs more legal immigration to meet the needs of the economy and add human talent, but no Administration in memory has done more harm to that cause than the Biden Administration. @WSJ
I ask the Legislature to immediately put up every bill seeking to unravel our gun laws, too. Let’s make every legislator show whose side they have chosen to be on – the people of New Jersey’s or the gun lobby’s.
Why does country of birth matter **after** priority dates become current?
Rac!st system (rogue adjudicators & policies) within a rac!st system (per-country caps).
Again, only impacts #GCbacklog
In today's immigration setup, especially in employment category, 95% "adjust status" to become permanent resident since they are already in the US legally through other means (student, worker etc).
Per-country caps serve no purpose, not even a rac!st one.

Folks getting surprised with @SenRickScott hypocrisy now 😂
This Senator put a hold on #HR1044 (bill to remove discrimination in EB immigration based on where one was born) in last congress, because he wanted #greencard carve out based on what language one spoke 😂😂
Unless all Indian immigrants realize that system is unfairly stacked against us, change will be difficult.
Lot of us (me included in past) are in delusion that things are hunky dory if you did everything right. They are not & there is one reason: rac!st per-country caps #HR3648
.@OfficeGovEthics: Do you find this unethical and conflict of interests from the @USCISDirector?
Your principle #1—"Public service is a public trust, requiring employees to place loyalty to the Constitution, the laws and ethical principles above private gain." @USGAO@usgaolegal
Athulya, a member of @ImproveTheDream and a H-4 dependent, is sharing their story with a Senate immigration subcommittee today. Athulya’s family has been personally devastated by the barriers in the immigration system. #ImprovetheDream
Very important story that shouldn't be sanitized for appearances sake. Athulya's problem is caused by discrminatory per country limits that prevented her from getting a green card solely because of where she was born. It was not caused by a lack of green cards. End the racism!
I have an emotional call to make to @SenatorDurbin on Monday. His mistreatment of me and my family just because we were born in India has real consequences for us.
#DurbinLiesImmigrantsDie
Woohoo 🙌
Great community service from the backlog volunteers. I am confident more such initiatives will benefit the #immigrants and American people 🇺🇸 🗽 #Immigration
