Well said, Joe. I’m 85 and have had my Model 3 with FSD since 2018. My thought was that my car’s driving skills would improve as my own declined. Eventually my car would drive better than I could. I think that happened a month or so ago. Thank you for sharing your story of your mom. I understand how she felt. I think she would have loved Robotaxi.

2025 has been quite dry thus far across South Florida with drought gradually overspreading the region over the last several months. Last week's outlook even introduced D3 Extreme Drought south of Lake O.

Found this old journal entry about my first day using the beta FSD software back on 2021:

Just ended my first day, October 15, 2021, of driving with Tesla’s FSD beta software in my 2018 Tesla Model 3, My impression is mostly positive. In general this version, 2021.32.25, is very impressive in its ability to navigate city streets and traffic.

I put nearly a hundred miles on the car today. Driving that many miles at the highly elevated level of alertness is much more tiring than normal driving. I believe that the biggest challenge for new users will be more psychological than technical once FSD is fully developed.

While the software is very good, it still does unpredictable things like changing lanes and then immediately changing lanes back to the starting lane. My car did this two or three times during the day.

My 2018 Tesla Model 3 has a small 12 volt battery that powers all of the accessories. I started getting messages from the car that my battery was failing. I used my Tesla app to put in a service call. This morning they came to my house and replaced my battery. Total cost was $120.00. What great service.
