This evening, HRH The Duke of Sussex visited the Royal Gibraltar Regiment at the Convent alongside the Deputy Governor-General.
As Honorary Colonel, His Royal Highness had the privilege of inspecting the troops and meeting those who serve with pride and dedication.
The Governor-General has granted His Royal Highness, the Duke of Sussex, the honorary rank of Colonel of the Royal Gibraltar Regiment.
The Duke is the first Royal family member to receive the rank since King Edward. His appointment follows his visit to Gibraltar last week.
After 480 days of service, including over 200 days serving as the Commandant, LtCol RobertFelbourn has retired as the Commanding Officer of the Royal Gibraltar Regiment.

This evening, the Regimental Adjutant met with the Commanding Officer, and the Officer Commanding of Jamestown Company, of the newly commissioned Saint Helena Regiment.
The trio discussed future plans and cooperation possibilities between the regiments.
