It’s very important to understand that the way people consume television has changed enormously, especially among younger audiences. It’s no longer common to sit in front of the TV for two and a half hours to watch a series live. Many people prefer to watch it later, on streaming platforms and at a time that suits them.

That’s why Turkish production companies should start taking this new reality into account instead of measuring a series’ success solely by its live TV ratings. Those who still watch traditional television tend to have more established viewing habits and preferences, such as football or drama series. But there is also a huge audience, especially younger and international viewers, who consume series in a completely different way — and they should count too.

As a foreign viewer, I have to admit that I don’t quite understand the Turkish TV audience. It seems difficult for a different kind of series to find its place when so many shows are constantly built around cruelty, abuse and suffering.

#MuhtemelAşk has extraordinary actors, a different kind of story, and moments that allow you to simply enjoy yourself without suffering episode after episode. That’s precisely why I love it. ❤️

It was somewhat predictable that the ratings might drop: there are so many series competing for viewers, and when there is drama upon drama, perhaps a different kind of story has a harder time finding its audience.

I just hope the remaining episodes will give the story a proper ending and the finale we deserve. And above all, I wish nothing but the best for Ekin Koç and Ayça Ayşin Turan, two extraordinary actors who deserve to keep shining and to have many wonderful projects ahead of them. ❤️

#MuhtemelAşkI hate to admit it, I’ve watched the show from the very beginning, catching it live in Turkish and then rewatching it with subtitles the next day, but the writers are completely losing the plot. What kind of storyline is this? What started as a lighthearted rom-com has turned into an endless drama. Just when we thought they were finally going to move in together, the brother shows up in court claiming the child belongs to Tolga. Was that plot twist really necessary? With such fierce competition on Thursday nights, ratings are definitely going to drop if they keep this up. It’s such a shame, because it started as a unique series with incredible performances by Ekin and Ayça ❤️

#MuhtemelAşk It’s a very good series with a very talented cast, with Ekin and Ayça being the standouts for me. But we also have to remember that many viewers watch the series online.
I think has held up pretty well over the summer and could definitely continue for more episodes. However, competing on Thursdays will be very difficult. That’s the reality of Turkish series right now: audiences seem to prefer drama over comedy.
I’ll be with this series until the end. We still need more Kadir and Defne scenes ❤️and more of their story. I also have a feeling that Kadir might be sick… the headaches, the dizziness… it doesn’t look good. And what if that’s the reason Kader appears? 🤔😬🤷🏻‍♀️

By episodes 59 and 60, Alia had already shown how exhausted she was... Yeter! But the storyline moved so fast that within just two episodes she ends up marrying Cihan.

However, Meryem was still there, along with Sadakat, Boran, and Cihan's sister. I have no idea how the story will bring her back or whether Sinem will return, but I do hope the producers and writers have taken on board the audience's dissatisfaction with the Meryem-and-the-child storyline. We had more than enough of Boran.

The best lines I've read since yesterday... A script has never been ruined so badly. Whether there will be a Season 3 or not, we'll see. But the best part was Ozan and Sinem's performances.

By the way, everyone talks about Cihan's pain, but what about Alia on the plane, holding her Anka necklace and kissing it? That was devastating. For someone who never had anything, to be left with nothing once again...

Doesn't it seem like everything is leading to Alia being written out for Season 3 and Meryem becoming the main character instead? Everything feels so strange that I don't even trust that Sinem will come back. And if Alia does return, I'm not sure they'll be able to write her the way they did in Season 1.
