@m1a32d154mikea @Jenny_1884 Switching off a smart phone does not disable alarms. Go to phone settings, search emergency alerts and switch off from there. Hey presto, your phone is now available when you need it.

@Jenny_1884 I've switched mine off permanently. It's like they're trying to cause anxiety across the whole nation. It's easier to control those who are in fight or flight mode internally.
