@DHTheWeatherNut Dave, I wonder if the smoke near the surface will play a role in limiting surface level instability. Wouldn't the smoke act as a cap? The other day temps were about 10 degrees cooler than forecasted at the peak of smokiness.

@ContentWxGuy I might shit for this, but meteorologists are like commercial pilots. You have the Boeing pilots, who rely on a blend of technology for their job but still have to put in manual labor to fly. Then you have Airbus pilots, where they have tray tables instead of yokes. Catch me?
