A MURDERED MAN HAS LESS SERIOUSNESS IN EYES OF LAW THAN WORDS OF A WOMAN

I feel totally lost today.

Over the last few years, I have personally worked with men who are victims of #falserape cases who spent anything from 5 months to 5 years in false rape cases. No matter how many proofs they had of their innocence, courts did not grant them bail merely because "allegations" & "charges" against them were serious as recorded in their bail rejection orders

BUT

I am seeing women being granted bail within days or months even when they played an active role in the death of a man whether in abetment to suicide cases or even MURDERS !!!

WHAT EQUALITY IS THIS?

NOT EVEN 1 YEAR IN JAIL !!!?

Now she will be out on bail, free to lead a normal life within a year of getting her husband murdered in cold blood. She might even get a book deal and be feted as a ‘feminist icon’ just like Indrani Mukherjee. Meanwhile, her poor husband is dead and gone and his parents deal with a lifetime of loss! The great Indian judiciary strikes, as always!

- In 2022, a Govt survey in India found out that 82% of Indian women are able to refuse sex to their husbands.

- Recently released webseries Chiraiya claims that 82% Indian women face sexual abuse by their husbands.

- Maybe makers of Chiraiya just assumed that 82% of women can deny sex to their husbands, so it must mean that 82% of husbands are sexually abusing their wives.

- Web series like these are usually aimed at destroying the family structure in India. And I am not surprised that this vahiyaat propapganda against men is getting good reviews by critics.

- Just imagine the impact of these fake facts presented as truth on the minds of teenage girls. They will probably start hating the concept of marriage even before getting old enough to marry.

And finally, the Code on Social Security (Amendment) Bill, 2025, recognises platform-based gig workers as a distinct category, ensuring minimum wages, regulated hours, social security, fair conditions, and equitable contracts to ensure a fairer, more sustainable environment and economy for them.
