Colin Cowherd goes OFF on the WNBA’s Caitlin Clark snub:
“They dropped a commemorative poster for 30 years of the WNBA. Caitlin Clark isn’t on it… but Paige Bueckers and Angel Reese are.
When she entered the league, they had to move her road games to bigger arenas just to fit her fans. She upgraded the WNBA from Southwest back rows to private jets.
Yet she’s left off the 30-year anniversary poster?
It’s either incompetence or intentional. Both are embarrassing.”
Charles cuts thru the clutter. They just petty.....
Not even going to get into all the other stuff in the league. Wouldn't say I watch it ~ but I keep up with Caitlin & Sophie
Ms Mebound with her 'takes' are comical. Don't think she is trying to be entertaining but she is 😁
“They're definitely targeting her and the league and the refs do nothing to protect her.”
Sophie Cunningham calls out the WNBA for its lax response to the consistent “targeting” of the league’s biggest star Caitlin Clark.
Cunningham said she and her teammates did not see the flagrant foul on Caitlin Clark by Alyssa Thomas in real time, but added “I promise you that if we would have seen that happen, we would have had her back.”
“Unfortunately, this type of s--- happens every single game to her, and the league and the refs do absolutely nothing about it.”
Thomas appeared to drive a fist into Clark’s throat after a play — but no foul was called at the time. The WNBA eventually suspended Thomas for one game and fined her for the flagrant foul.
WNBA player Sophie Cunningham calls out WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert by name, rips the league for not protecting her teammate, Caitlin Clark.
"This type of sh*t happens every single game to her, and the league and the refs do absolutely nothing about it."
Cunningham and co-host West Wilson also discussed the possibility that Engelbert is jealous of Clark, which may be why Clark was snubbed from the WNBA 30th Anniversary Poster.
Why is the @WNBA allowing its most valuable player to be physically attacked?
I’ve seen no evidence of any other player being targeted this way.
And this was not an isolated event.
These incidents are unacceptable, and they’ve been perpetuated by the league’s failure to act.
The WNBA must do more to protect @caitlinclark22.
🎙️"Leaving Caitlin Clark off the WNBA's 30th anniversary poster is the equivalent of leaving Michael Jordan off an NBA anniversary."
She is the only reason anyone is talking about the league. Leaving her off isn't an oversight. It's ultimate disrespect.

WNBA players need to realize:
- The only reason the WNBA is relevant is because of Caitlin Clark
- There’s a difference between competitiveness & unsportsmanlike conduct.
- Jealousy & mistreatment of Caitlin Clark will only continue to force fans to dislike them & refuse to watch their games.
- If Caitlin Clark wasn’t in the league, millions of sports fans like myself wouldn’t be interested in watching the WNBA.
- Clark is the hand that is feeding them. They’re making historic money & flying private because of her.
WNBA players, you don’t have to like Caitlin Clark but you have to respect the opportunities she’s provided you and the league as a whole. Be grateful.
Caitlin Clark taking a shot to the throat will go down as one of the WNBA's defining moments.
@dandakich lights the league up for purposely trying to hurt their star.
WNBA players hate Caitlin Clark and cheap shot her because she’s white and straight. That’s despite the fact that she’s the only reason most of them are getting paid anything at all.
As a father, I cannot stop thinking about Caitlin Clark’s dad.
He raised a daughter who represents everything parents hope their children become: humble, tough, respectful, composed, competitive, and gracious under pressure.
And now he has to watch her get assaulted and left unprotected by the very league that should be protecting her.
This is not what basketball is supposed to be about.
The WNBA has ruined it.
Based on all the animosity from Monday’s game, WNBA officials should have been on high alert for things like this tonight.
Can’t let Alyssa Thomas do this to anybody (in this instance Caitlin Clark) and go unpunished
As much as I enjoy watching the WNBA, that was one of the most dangerous cheap shots I have seen since I started following the league. The contact from Alyssa Thomas on Caitlin Clark appeared intentional and had the potential to result in a serious injury.
It is unacceptable that the officiating crew did not recognize and address the play appropriately. Player safety must always be the top priority. If the league does not take action, whether through a fine or suspension, it sends the wrong message and raises concerns about the safety of players on the court.
Stephanie White goes off on the refs on the AT fist to Caitlin & other no calls:
"The fact that it was a no-call, it's absolutely egregious & utterly disrespectful. We have a generational talent and a WNBA superstar, who had two cheap shots right there that weren't called. She is not called the same way everybody else is called."
No Caitlin Clark on this poster is RIDICULOUS.
No Diana Taurasi
No Sue Bird
No Tamika Catchings.
No Candace Parker.
No Elena Delle Donne.
No Cynthia Cooper.
No Sylvia Fowles.
RIDICULOUS.
You can’t tell the 30 year history of the WNBA without these women.
I legit have never seen a business organization fumble a 💰 the way the WNBA has fumbled Caitlin Clark in my life. From WNBA media to podcasters to all her haters—whether you like her or not—you ALL talk about her daily because CC pays your bills. Admit it
