Today, Cmdre Bradley Peats of the @RoyalCanNavy transferred command of @COM_SNMG1 to the Royal Netherlands Navy. Cmdre Peats commanded SNMG1 over the past 12 months on #OpREASSURANCE, part of Canada’s contribution to #NATO’s collective defence in solidarity with its allies.
Today we remember Lieutenant (N) Andrew Webster.
He served in the navy for 15 years. Sadly, he died suddenly on January 2, 2014, while deployed to the Indian Ocean aboard HMCS Toronto.

Damage Control is a vital skill set that the RCN focuses on regularly. The benefits of that focus were clear this year when HMCS FREDERICTON had to extinguish a fire in the Engine Room while deployed of the coast of Norway with NATO. Thanks to NAC.

One of the coolest things I've had a chance to do this summer was catch @HMCSFredericton sailing through the narrows into St. John's harbour. I've wanted to get a navy ship in the narrows for a long time, and this summer I managed to get three! @RoyalCanNavy@RCN_MARLANT#RCNavy
