@AJamesMcCarthy My son got me hooked. He has a masters in astrophysics. Can’t find a job or a PhD program so we just study the night sky with his telescope and he explains it all to me.
@ymmayerr The one in Moscow ID is awesome. Yeah it has soaps and crafts but plenty of locally grown produce - fruit, berries, veggies. I miss it since I moved.
@PureMichigan The cabins my father helped build on the south arm of lake Charlevoix. Unfortunately they were recently sold to a developer and are probably a hideous McMansion by now. 😢
@TheCptGreybeard As a recent transplant to SoDak I’ve decided that East River is basically Minnesota and West River is Montana-ish. In geography, attitude and climate.
@OrevaZSN I moved to a very treed neighborhood intentionally. It breaks my heart and angers me at the same time. I end up irrationally hating those neighbors.
@SketchesbyBoze I was overjoyed to discover Osher Life Long Learning (OLLI) classes in my new community. They aren’t free but they offer an immense variety of topics and speakers.
@RaminNasibov There was this weird "game" called Life or Death where you could perform an appendectomy - had clamps and everything. I don't think my patient ever survived but it was fun trying.
@Arma_Lite_14 A lot of schools teach DNA extracting with strawberries or other simple plants. These are the microcentrifuge tubes we use in DNA extraction so maybe check out his science curriculum. Encourage his science curiosity.
