We’re pleased to share the nominations for our upcoming Presidential election.

Three candidates have put themselves forward to succeed Dr Lade Smith when she steps down at the AGM on 16 June:

• Dr Regi Tharian Alexander
• Professor Subodh Dave
• Professor Robert Howard

The successful candidate will serve a three-year term as President.

The judges noted that, as a Training Programme Director for IMGs at Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, Dr. Javed has championed several impactful initiatives such as an IMG Peer Support Group, a structured Buddy Scheme for new trainees, regular group meetings and 1-to-1 check-ins, tailored CASC exam coaching, and an IMG-specific induction checklist to ensure trainees feel welcomed and prepared from day one. #rcpsychawards
