To us, they were great.

But they had a terrible reputation.

All of my friends hated them.

For years, we decided not to sweat it.

All stayed good.

Then our long-time account manager left.

And we learned what had really happened.

Our hero account manager had been a master navigating his org.

And the new people didn’t have that.

We eventually left the vendor.

I learned that we all think we do business with companies.

But you’re really working with people.

If they change, it can wrong fast.
