Politicians don't willingly change their spots.

My hope is that Rayner will be able to influence strongly to set policy to protect everyone, regardless of his stance.

I can't celebrate while I know they're not safe.

It spreads like wildfire until disproven, and not everyone will get the info disproving it, so to them it's true.

@ThomasWillett9 As long as there is justified fear of abuse by c!s straight men, a person who falsely believes that a trans woman is a "man pretending" will always be able to be manipulated using that fear.

I wish they could all see they're just being manipulated into hurting innocent people.

Everyone was empathetic enough to understand that would have been the same as segregated toilets.

@iamAtheistGirl I think this person should think more about the fact that they know people who, without faith, wouldn't have ethics and morals.

So the only thing stopping them from being horrible is fear of punishment, i.e. they never learned empathy as motivation to avoid doing harm to others.

It's history repeating itself. People are ignorant of it, so they repeat it.

I worked in an office 20 years ago and a coworker transitioned and all that happened was the coworker reintroduced herself, and HR announced that there was an additional unisex toilet that was previously reserved for management but never used. No outrage. Nothing.

@iamAtheistGirl Probably because that's how they were reprimanded when they stepped out of line, and they complied every time like a "good" subordinate in an authoritarian system.

So they feel it's unfair that you don't comply when they "had to" and this is only way they know to communicate.

@waukema @PicturesFoIder As a person who has seen the state of other people's toilet brushes and brush container cans, the disgust of ALWAYS having to use brushes to help the poop go down the drain far outweighs the need to analyze poop quality, especially when poop can also be analyzed while in water.
