Round 2 with Morgan Elementary School's 5th Grade class is complete & another successful archeological dig was had during our Mound Builders Program today at the RDC! We love having an excuse to get our hands dirty with the kids, all in the name of science & history!
According to the National Weather Service & The WKY Star, the Ohio River at Paducah has fallen below the flood stage of 39 ft.
The river is forecast to go below 32 ft at Paducah by Thursday afternoon. That's when the city of Paducah will stop running all of its flood pumps.

These images from NASA, coming from the Landsat 8 satellite, show the extent of flooding in the Mid-South this winter; comparing 2019 to a typical winter.
The Mississippi River reaches 41 feet at its crest this week, which is the 4th highest on record at 7 feet above flood stage.
We had an awesome day sharing our Center's mission and conversing with some of our areas up and coming high school & collegiate leaders at the MSU-Paducah Nonprofit Connections! We look forward to participating again in the fall!
Most days, the flood wall catches our attention with its beautiful murals that tell the story of our community.
Today is not most days, we are thankful for this magnificent structure that keeps high river waters at bay & those that are working tirelessly to ensure our safety!
