@donnatalarico@NYTimesWordplay@NYTGames I guessed the answer to your “user” slide but had just taken too big a bite to shout it out! You got me with Oreo mountain though. Loved your presentation! ❤️

@eaton@dirtystylus Storybook brings some CMS-style controls into the library, letting us demonstrate variants and edit content in place in ways we can group by "component" instead of "pattern." This helps the visualization immensely for some cases, but overall the struggle is real.
@eaton@dirtystylus We switched from Fractal to Storybook trying to nudge closer to what you're describing. My focus is the CMS author's perspective, and I haven't found a way to visualize contingent relationships between bits yet. Literally spent all yesterday wrestling with this problem.
@eaton@dirtystylus The patterns want an inherent organization based on visual characteristics, but their use is utterly dependent on Drupal architecture choices, display variants, reusable content relationships, and these front end-focused libraries are a round hole for a square peg.

I gave a webinar last week for @gathercontent about using the UX design thinking process in website messaging. If it'd help you in your work but you missed it, you can watch a recording online! https://t.co/DbMO2jXrch
@PhilPhorever I thought I had a good cross-genre mix, then an English major-y friend looking at mine said "huh, you must really like apocalyptic fiction." I had no idea, but now choosing new books is a lot easier.
So excited that @GatherContent has invited me to speak to their content strategy folks about messaging. If you're free Thursday at 4pm BST/11am EDT, stop by — it's free!
Super excited to attend my first #WPCampus conference today with @wpcampusorg! Seeing how much work and thought they've put into the shift to the online-only format and continuing to present great content (for free!) has been really cool.

@davidpoteet and I are giving a free webinar on teaching content folks to use a design system (without ever logging into a CMS). Thanks to the lovely people at @ContentEdLive and @picklejar for inviting us to share some of the work we do at @NewC1ty ! https://t.co/oBSF5M30K4
