There is an aggressor: Russia.
There is a victim: Ukraine.
We were right to help Ukraine and sanction Russia three years ago—and to keep doing so.
By “we,” I mean the Americans, the Europeans, the Canadians, the Japanese, and many others.
Thank you to all who have helped and continue to do so. And respect to those who have been fighting since the beginning—because they are fighting for their dignity, their independence, their children, and the security of Europe.
@planetmoney regarding epi on Jul14th - about EULAs/contracts. Any contract is unenforceable if it breaks the local or federal law. If #airbnb in this case provides means for people to discriminate based on a protected category, shouldn’t this be prosecutable either way?
To Ukrainians around the globe:
Putin attacked, but no one is running away. Army, diplomats, everyone is working. Ukraine fights. Ukraine will defend itself. Ukraine will win.
Share the truth about Putin’s invasion in your countries and call on governments to act immediately.
They responded by asserting the contract *couldn't* be exploitative b/c top lawyers in the industry wrote it 🙄 and b/c other devs have signed it. The fact that they still easily sign devs on this is a poor reflection on the industry, not a vote in favour of the practice.
@guyraz if I knew this is what I’m gonna get, I’d save you some shipping costs willingly. Thank you for the book and the show - they are amazing. #howibuiltthisbook
@nprhelp@alexgoldmark@planetmoney iOS 13.3.1 (17D50); stock application. I unsubscribed, deleted it from library, resubscribed. Still got the same 333 episodes. Then switched to “keep last 10”. Finally bliss.
@theindicator the true test would have been if people were asked to choose between a prayer or financial support in proportion. People value what they earned much more then things that have been just given to them. Also $5 does not evoke much thought in many folks.
