1/ Pope Leo XIV just released a 40,000-word document warning about AI.
He's right to be alarmed.
But there's one word missing from the entire conversation.
A thread. 🧵
@WRogersM Long by design, Bill. The brainwashing of three generations in this country requires reeducation at a deep level. Perhaps it’s time to implement a “de-transitioning” therapy protocol for our friends on the extreme left.
How about a dose of reality to you and all your brainwashed, mind-numbed socialist warrior wannabes.
The true patriots in this country stand with Elon Musk. And here's why — because this week something happened that perfectly captures everything about how the world actually works.
SpaceX created over 4,000 new millionaires in a single day. Not hedge fund managers. Not trust fund kids. Engineers. Technicians. Hourly workers. Real people who built rockets that land themselves and a global satellite network bringing internet to the forgotten corners of the earth — rewarded because the company they helped build became enormously valuable.
Bernie Sanders responded by attacking the man who made it happen, as you did.
So let's lay out the comparison — because the math doesn't care about anyone's feelings, including yours or the people who cheer you on.
Over 2021–2025, Elon Musk's companies — Tesla, SpaceX, xAI, Neuralink, The Boring Company — injected approximately $338 billion directly into the U.S. economy. $110 billion in wages and salaries supporting over 200,000 employees. Roughly $46 billion in taxes. Over $182 billion in supplier spending — batteries, chips, steel, components flowing to American manufacturers and workers across the supply chain.
SpaceX drove launch costs down over 90%. Starlink is delivering internet to rural communities, disaster zones, battlefield units, and developing nations that every legacy telecom company abandoned. These technologies will educate children who had no school. Deliver medical knowledge where the nearest doctor is a day's walk. Accelerate AI and defense for the entire civilization.
Musk doesn't sit on a pile of cash. He owns controlling stakes in companies that reinvest every dollar. No dividends. No extraction. Just relentless reinvestment into building the future.
Now the other side of the ledger.
Bernie Sanders. 50+ years in Congress. Zero companies built. Zero private-sector jobs created. Zero products shipped. Zero technological breakthroughs that improved a single life. He became a millionaire on government salaries and book deals — while telling you that millionaires are the problem.
AOC endorsed the Green New Deal — estimated at $50–93 trillion — while Elon actually built the electric vehicle revolution and the largest solar energy storage systems on earth. One talked about saving the planet. The other did it.
Zohran Mamdani took office as NYC mayor promising to tax the wealthy out of the city — the same playbook that has been driving talent, capital, and innovation out of every jurisdiction that tries it.
The pattern is always the same: people who have never built anything telling the builders they've taken too much.
I watched what happened when a government actually did it.
Cuba. Venezuela. The Soviet Union. And Iran. Same promises. Same ideology. Same result. Every single time.
The philosophy that says wealth is stolen from a fixed pie — that one person's success comes at another's expense — is not just economically wrong. It is the single most destructive idea in modern history. It has impoverished more people, destroyed more economies, and crushed more human potential than any other political philosophy of the last century.
Wealth is not stolen. It is created. By builders who expand the pie for everyone.
Elon didn't take $338 billion from the economy. He generated it. Those 200,000 jobs didn't exist before he built the companies. Those 4,000 new millionaires were hourly workers five years ago. The global internet reaching a billion people wasn't there before Starlink put the satellites in orbit.
When you and Bernie stand at a podium and says "billionaires shouldn't exist," you're telling the 4,000 SpaceX workers who just became millionaires that the system that rewarded them shouldn't exist.
He is telling the children in rural Africa who just got internet for the first time that the man who made it possible is the enemy.
Go find another hoax to sell.
