@GoldenMavs1@AdamCarriker94 See yall soon lol. Beating the brakes off us in horrendously down years with the exception of the impressive win in the Kalk era while holding him to minimal touches and points. Yall have been good for a singular year. Pipe down.
@DonChetty97@AdamCarriker94 Got stuck watching at a friends house, with it being the only d1 football team in the entire state and having watched the games I’m an entitled to an opinion lmao
@TheFloridSword@HuskerFootball@BigTenNetwork Would rather gouge my eyes out. Got stuck watching at a friend’s house. Just curious how yall can watch and support a coach who lets their program spiral.
@husker_1963@AdamCarriker94 Not a true fan because deep down the other team is playing their hearts out? Also maybe because they look like they are inspired? I am proud to call my self a Nebraskan but that’s where I draw the line. Whatever you say bud.
@AdamCarriker94 Don’t got a GIF, I have switched to rooting for MSU as a Nebraska native. This is a pathetic showing by Rhule and co. I mean their MSU lineman got hurt trying to advance a fumble. All the Nebraska players look beyond uninspired I’m tired of Rhule being a Nebraska resident.
@AdamCarriker94 lol typical charmin soft UNL fan. Got stuck watching this game at a friend’s house and it just baffled me anyone could support this coaching staff. Did someone get their feelings hurt while feeding grapes and massaging Matt Rhules feet and block me awwwww
@Kade_CornMan The players are at least mostly trying. They seem discouraged by the play calling and decisions made by the coaching staff more and more each week. Love alot of the guys we got. Blow up the football coaching staff.
The Nebraska coaching staff is disgraceful to a storied program. All my friends who are Nebraska fans and myself agree that Rhule plays to not lose. They have 4 DB’s out and we keep attempting awkward handoffs and option plays. Throw the damn ball.
Jamal Rule is from Salisbury, North Carolina. Three-star recruit. The only schools that offered him were Nebraska, Michigan State, Syracuse and Virginia Tech.
He's also one of the fastest big men you'll find. At Charlotte Christian he won the state title in the indoor 500 meters at 1:04.07, which was the ninth fastest time in the entire country that season.
He weighs 210 pounds.
On his recruiting profile, in the section where most kids list their bench press, he wrote this instead.
"Each time I step on the field, I remind myself that playing football is an honor that many players never receive. I watched my parents make countless sacrifices which drives me to make the most of every opportunity life presents."
September 5, his first college game. Nebraska vs Ohio at Memorial Stadium.
Dana Holgorsen said that when Rule showed up in the summer, he was a nervous, anxious kid walking around campus with wide eyes.
Mekhi Nelson, the junior running back, could hear him through the wall before kickoff, hyping himself up so loud that Nelson had to tell him to save some of it for the game.
Then the team walked to the mouth of the tunnel and Rule saw the crowd.
"Just walking out onto the field seeing all the fans, I teared up a little bit. I was like, wow. It's great to be here."
He got the ball three straight times inside the red zone on Nebraska's first drive and scored on the third.
By the end of the day he had 122 rushing yards, 47 receiving, and three touchdowns on 17 touches.
He became the first Nebraska freshman running back to run for 100 yards in a season opener since 2004, and just the sixth Big Ten freshman since 1995 with two rushing touchdowns and a receiving touchdown in the same game. PFF graded him the second best running back in the country that week.
Here's the part that tells you who he is.
Late in the game, with Nebraska up big, Memorial Stadium started chanting.
RUUUUUUULE.
He didn't think it was for him. Nebraska has a tight end named Luke Lindenmeyer who gets a chant that sounds almost identical, and Rule assumed that's who they meant.
Then it happened again.
"Whoa. That's me."
He's now the third leading rusher in the Big Ten. Holgorsen was asked this week whether they'd scale him back.
"He doesn't look like a freshman to me, so we won't treat him like one."
@BenScottStevens As a guy who is a creighton fan and is coerced into watching Nebraska. I always root for Iowa as well but god you guys have a fun looking offense this year. RAHHH WHAT THE FUCK IS A PUNT
@CreighTakes I love Mac more than life itself. With that being said the first time Huss calls a timeout in a logical situation is going to hit like crack.
