¿Por qué los nazis odiaban tanto a los judíos, hasta el punto de humillarlos y asesinarlos de las formas más brutales, si los judíos no les habían hecho nada?

1- El odio ya existía desde mucho antes de Hitler.
El antisemitismo llevaba siglos presente en Europa. Existían prejuicios religiosos, acusaciones falsas y teorías conspirativas contra los judíos. Los nazis aprovecharon ese odio y lo llevaron a un nivel extremo.

2- Hitler convirtió el antisemitismo en una ideología racial.
Los nazis afirmaban falsamente que los judíos eran una "raza" inferior y peligrosa. Para ellos, ser judío no dependía de la religión: una persona podía ser atea o haberse convertido al cristianismo y aun así ser perseguida por sus orígenes familiares.

3- Los nazis necesitaban encontrar un enemigo.
Tras la Primera Guerra Mundial, Alemania atravesaba una enorme crisis económica y social. Hitler culpó falsamente a los judíos de los problemas del país y difundió la mentira de que habían "traicionado" a Alemania.

4- Inventaron teorías conspirativas.
La propaganda nazi presentó a los judíos como responsables de problemas completamente diferentes y hasta contradictorios: el capitalismo, el comunismo, la derrota alemana y la decadencia cultural. No necesitaban que las acusaciones fueran coherentes; necesitaban crear un enemigo.

5- La propaganda deshumanizó a los judíos.
Durante años, el régimen los representó como animales, enfermedades o una amenaza para Alemania. El objetivo era conseguir que la población dejara de verlos como personas y aceptara su discriminación y persecución.

6- La persecución comenzó gradualmente.
Primero llegaron las leyes discriminatorias, la expulsión de empleos y escuelas, la confiscación de propiedades y la violencia. Después llegaron los guetos, las deportaciones y los campos de concentración y exterminio.

7- La humillación también era una herramienta.
Los nazis les quitaron sus nombres, sus pertenencias y su dignidad, los obligaron a realizar trabajos degradantes y los sometieron públicamente a todo tipo de abusos. La deshumanización facilitaba que el régimen pudiera avanzar hacia el asesinato masivo.

8- Los judíos no habían hecho nada que justificara aquello.
Esta es quizá la cuestión más importante: el Holocausto no fue una respuesta a algo que los judíos hubieran hecho. La acusación contra ellos estaba basada en mentiras, prejuicios y una ideología racista.

9- El resultado fue el Holocausto.
Entre 1941 y 1945, la Alemania nazi y sus colaboradores asesinaron sistemáticamente a aproximadamente seis millones de judíos, incluidos niños, mujeres y ancianos.

En definitiva: los nazis no descubrieron un supuesto crimen cometido por los judíos y reaccionaron ante él. Inventaron al judío como enemigo y después construyeron una maquinaria política, propagandística y militar para perseguirlo y exterminarlo.

En el video se observa a judíos subiendo a trenes de carga para ser trasladados hacia las cámaras de gas bajo el engaño de que serían reubicados en el Este para trabajar.

𝗟𝗮 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗱 𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺ó, 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼 𝗮 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗲𝗻 𝗹𝗮 𝗵𝘂𝗯𝗶𝗲𝗿𝗮 𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗼
Soy politólogo, egresado de la Facultad de Ciencias Sociales de la Udelar. En sus aulas leí a Dahl, a Sartori, a Smith y también a Marx. Allí me enseñaron que la democracia no es un procedimiento estático, sino un ecosistema frágil que se desgasta cuando cambiamos la deliberación por el dogma.
Por eso, lo que expreso aquí no es indignación partidaria; es dolor institucional.

Mi Facultad hoy presta sus instalaciones para homenajear los “100 años de Fidel”, contando incluso con la presencia de la Embajadora de Cuba.
Según los organizadores, el acto busca “repensar qué significa defender una revolución frente a la nueva arremetida imperialista y consolidar redes internacionalistas de resistencia”.

Sin embargo, la historia nos muestra otra realidad.

Aunque en 1959 Fidel prometió que la libertad de opinar, escribir, hablar, reunirse y creer serían libertades sagradas, terminó construyendo un régimen de partido único, sin competencia electoral efectiva, sin alternancia y con severas restricciones a las libertades políticas.

Cuba no es una democracia. Y esto no lo digo yo; me lo enseñaron en esa misma Facultad.

En Ciencia Política, la democracia puede analizarse desde una concepción mínima o procedimental. Esta perspectiva exige, como condición básica, una competencia real por el poder y la posibilidad efectiva de alternancia.

Adam Przeworski lo resume en una formulación especialmente potente: la democracia es un sistema en el que los partidos pueden perder elecciones.

No estamos discutiendo aquí si Cuba es “más o menos democrática”. Desde una concepción mínima de democracia, ni siquiera supera el umbral básico: no existe competencia efectiva por el poder ni posibilidad real de alternancia.

Además, este debate ya no es simplemente un asunto de “opiniones distintas”. También plantea una cuestión de coherencia con nuestra Carta Magna y el marco normativo que rige a nuestra Universidad:
- El Artículo 82 de la Constitución de la República establece que la Nación adopta la forma democrática republicana de gobierno.
- El Artículo 2.º de la Ley Orgánica de la Udelar (12.549) establece entre los fines de la Universidad el de defender “la Democracia-Republicana como forma política de gobierno”.

Ninguno de los dos textos añade un “excepto cuando se trata de Cuba”.

Pienso en el estudiante de 18 años que hoy entra por primera vez a la Facultad. ¿Qué mensaje le está transmitiendo la institución en su primer contacto? ¿Que la democracia se defiende siempre, o solo cuando conviene?

También me preocupa la imagen que la Udelar proyecta hacia el exterior: una universidad pública con enorme prestigio académico en la región, cediendo sus instalaciones para un homenaje al líder de un régimen de partido único. ¿Es esa la imagen que queremos proyectar de la Ciencia Política uruguaya?

Esto no puede ampararse simplemente en la autonomía universitaria. La autonomía protege la libertad académica y de opinión; no convierte en irrelevantes los fines que la propia Ley Orgánica asigna a la Universidad.

Me enseñaron en esa Facultad a defender la democracia. Y es precisamente por esa enseñanza que, como exalumno, no puedo aceptar esto en silencio.

Qual exército da história mostrou menos piedade para com o inimigo?

O exército assírio.

Não havia outro que inspirasse terror tão puro e tão absoluto. Sua fama de brutalidade era tão grande que cidades inteiras se rendiam sem travar combate. Preferiam a humilhação da capitulação à certeza do que viria se ousassem resistir. Porque todos sabiam: a derrota diante dos assírios não significava apenas a morte. Significava um espetáculo de crueldade calculada, metódica e pública.

Ashurnasirpal II, um de seus reis mais temidos, descreveu com precisão quase administrativa o que fazia com as cidades conquistadas:

“Ergui uma coluna à porta de sua cidade e esfolei todos os chefes que haviam se rebelado, cobrindo a coluna com suas peles. Alguns foram empalados dentro da própria coluna, outros empalados em estacas ao redor. Os relevos assírios que sobreviveram confirmam, sem qualquer eufemismo, o que as palavras já diziam. Prisioneiros empalados ainda vivos. Homens esfolados em público. Línguas arrancadas. Orelhas e narizes cortados. Olhos arrancados com pontas de lança. Ganchos cravados nas mandíbulas para arrastar os cativos como animais.

Não era ódio cego. Era política.
O terror era a ferramenta de governo mais eficiente que o Império Assírio conhecia. Uma única cidade destruída com essa ferocidade bastava para que dezenas de outras se ajoelhassem sem necessidade de um único combate.

Entre todos os exércitos que a história registrou, poucos, se é que algum, elevaram a ausência de piedade a um sistema tão deliberado, tão explícito e tão eficaz.

Interesting story I learned today about Islam why they dislike dogs.

At night Muhammed would wait for the Angel Gabriel to visit him. The 1 night, the Angel didn't show, he heard a dog bark. So he assumed it was the dogs fault.

Later when he met the Angel, the Angel told him that he doesn't enter a home with a dog. So Muhammed ordered all the dogs killed.

The reason is, dogs can sense demons and the demon was impersonating the Angel Gabriel.

In September of 2005, on the first day of school, Martha Cothren, a History teacher at RobinsonHigh School in Little Rock, did something not to be forgotten. On the first day of school, with the permission of the school superintendent, the principal and the building supervisor, she removed all of the desks in her classroom. When the first period kids entered the room they discovered that there were no desks.

'Ms. Cothren, where are our desks?'

She replied, 'You can't have a desk until you tell me how you earn the right to sit at a desk.'

They thought, 'Well, maybe it's our grades.' 'No,' she said.

'Maybe it's our behavior.' She told them, 'No, it's not even your behavior.'

And so, they came and went, the first period, second period, third period. Still no desks in the classroom. Kids called their parents to tell them what was happening and by early afternoon television news crews had started gathering at the school to report about this crazy teacher who had taken all the desks out of her room.

The final period of the day came and as the puzzled students found seats on the floor of the desk-less classroom. Martha Cothren said, 'Throughout the day no one has been able to tell me just what he or she has done to earn the right to sit at the desks that are ordinarily found in this classroom. Now I am going to tell you.'

At this point, Martha Cothren went over to the door of her classroom and opened it. Twenty-seven (27) U.S. Veterans, all in uniform, walked into that classroom, each one carrying a school desk. The Vets began placing the school desks in rows, and then they would walk over and stand alongside the wall. By the time the last soldier had set the final desk in place those kids started to understand, perhaps for the first time in their lives, just how the right to sit at those desks had been earned.

Martha said, 'You didn't earn the right to sit at these desks. These heroes did it for you. They placed the desks here for you. They went halfway around the world, giving up their education and interrupting their careers and families so you could have the freedom you have. Now, it's up to you to sit in them. It is your responsibility to learn, to be good students, to be good citizens. They paid the price so that you could have the freedom to get an education. Don't ever forget it.'

By the way, this is a true story. And this teacher was awarded the Veterans of Foreign Wars Teacher of the Year for the State of Arkansas in 2006. She is the daughter of a WWII POW.

In late term abortions, the same potassium chloride (or digoxin) is injected into the unborn child’s heart or umbilical cord to stop the heartbeat before the procedure.

No anesthetic is given to the child.

Pain receptors are present, neural pathways are functional, and research shows premature infants of similar age are actually more sensitive to pain than full term newborns, partly because the pathways that normally dampen pain signals are not yet mature.

The same chemical that requires anesthesia for a condemned prisoner is delivered to an unborn child with none.

Ultrasound has documented fetal movement and signs of distress during the process.

Yotam Budnik is a 12th-grade student from Rehovot 🇮🇱 just won a gold medal at the International Olympiad in Informatics in Uzbekistan but was not allowed to compete under the Israeli flag.

When Yotam was awarded his medal 🏅 stepped onto the podium, pulled an Israeli flag out of his pocket and wore it in defiance of the Anti-Semitic discrimination.

While the medal 🏅 was revoked from him for his courage, he has no regrets

"The law that prevents me from waving the flag is based only on politics, and I thought there was no place for that in a scientific competition", he said.

The organizers demanded that he return his medal.

Yotam said no.

Organizers took away his certificate and removed his ranking from the website.
