Best thing I read today: "A necessary part of Jesus' mediatorial role was that, like us, he struggled against sin and temptation" (Oden, Classic Christianity, 345). Jesus had no sin nature but he "struggled" (!) against sin. A real battle, not pretense. He was one of us.
