Anything that’s trying to make you feel less than, not enough, you need to ask yourself, “Where did that come from?” That’s the enemy whispering his lies. God is asking, “Who told you that you’re not talented enough? Who told you that you’ll always struggle?" Tune out all the lies and reprogram your mind with who God says you are.
The Psalmist said, “A good person may fall seven times, but the Lord will raise them up.” Sometimes, you can’t stand up on your own, but God is right there with you, lifting you, strengthening you, healing you, breathing in your direction.
David said in Psalms, “God, put a watch over my mouth.” That’s a great prayer. “God, don’t let me speak another negative thing about myself.” You have enough people in life against you; don’t be against yourself.
Props to Isaiah Swope for a great season. Playing through knee issues, he made big shot after big shot while carrying a huge defensive and playmaking loads. One of the most fun Billiken guards in a long time!
