@MelK_Ed Title IX is the predominate reason men’s soccer hasn’t taken a hold, and also why the USWNT was dominant. It forces colleges to offer an equal number of male and female scholarships. Football takes up 85, so most colleges don’t have an official men’s soccer team.
@mjthomas2@SkylarSkye3 There may be states with a minimum, but there is no federal minimum. Many companies offer starting vacation of 5 days. An astonishingly low number of employers offer 10+ days.
@bourscheid That’s not to say it’s a small amount, it’s not at all. It’s just nowhere near enough to solve all these problems you think it would. And most of that wealth is not in usable form for people that have it.
@bourscheid I don’t think you understand just how little $1t is in the grand scheme of things. For example that would only cover 5/8ths of American social security payouts for one year.
Second, the American government is the only entity on the planet that comes close to $1t in actual cash.
@AllynMcKeen@busch_john21988 Let’s be real, the only reason our bullpen is viewed as bad is because we missed on Davis being a closer. Other than the 9th inning, the pen was on the good side of average.
@GaSportsFreak1@bporch3110@HailStateBB Crap? State fans have mostly talked about the abysmal state of our bullpen since we were 0-3 against ya’ll.
Much like TN, nobody will miss UGA fans once this run ends and you disappear for 2 decades again.
@bporch3110@GaSportsFreak1@HailStateBB Best not to feed the trolls, they’ll be back down again in a year or two and disappear just like the Tennessee fans did after they invented baseball in 2019.
@DawgsCountry_15 I think we all knew how bad the pen was after UCLA. Anyone that still had faith lost it by the end of the TN series.
That being said we have a handful of guys that have the stuff, they just need to find the attitude. Starting pitching stands to be very very good next year.
@AllynMcKeen We were a good team, not great. I wish we were championship caliber, but you have to still be dreaming about a closer that doesn’t exist to think that.
@MaroonMary It’s a fact balls are flying out more and farther there. People just assume bandbox, but it’s probably mostly to do with orientation with the prevailing winds and the field itself being sunken allowing humidity to settle over it more than surface level parks.
@bro_olbert My only gripe is lack of clutch in the 9th. How many times did we have solid chances in the 9th and not come through. Thats not just a pitching thing. We had tying/winning runners in position like a dozen times this year and failed to do anything over and over.
@therandomsec It’s a B for me. The inability to get any of our relievers or hitters to nut up in the 9th inning all year is the driver for it not being an A. Our closer situation, in particular, was abysmal.
@CollegeBSBNews I’m convinced the defenders of that field only like it because everyone else hates it. It looks like they repurposed the backyard from the Brady Bunch.
@AdamStensonACS He absolutely has to find a breaking pitch he can control, the slider is backbreaking when he lands it. But if he can’t land it maybe he needs to try something else.
@WillSommers2 The angels play in Anaheim, the Giants and Jets play in New Jersey. Dallas plays in Arlington. 49ers in Santa Clara, Commanders in Landover, Bills, Raiders, Cardinals, Rays, and on and on all play in places other than their namesake.
