@FijianIndex No that is incorrect. They left with 170 pax and returned with 220 pax - 50 govt nominated passengers (students studying agricultural in Israel, Fiji Airways family members). Fact. You lose credibility when you peddle what you think you know, rather than facts.
@The_Tooth_Doc it’s pretty clear he misled the govt & the public about his qualifications. He also superseded his remit, breached confidentiality, exhibited unprofessional behavior & harassed Fijians. Totally out of order for a judicial officer. Once the govt’s tool, he has now gone too far
@TYHEPheonix69@pseudofijian A “business license” from a town council is a different document to a registration certificate from ROC. To get a business license, all of the other certificates had to be obtained first and evidenced to SCC which isn’t the case anymore so there’s no oversight. Read carefully. 🙄
@TYHEPheonix69@pseudofijian Yes but business licensing by city councils should never have been done away with as you had to produce all relevant certificates - NFA, health etc to get one and the premises had
to be inspected. That wanted compliance
@pseudofijian This is a breach of anti-competition laws. A complaint to FCCC of “unconscionable conduct” will trigger an investigation and possibly charges that would result in systemic upgrades quick smart.
@pseudofijian@fijivillage@sun_fiji The moorings were unlawfully within Nawi island’s foreshore lease (which they pay a hefty annual fee for) preventing Nawi’s vessels & other yachts entering. Nawi lawfully removed the moorings after giving notice to everyone & had MSAF approval. Copra Shed has no foreshore lease…
@cremeloaf@pseudofijian@FlyAirNZ What he does in his private life has nothing to do with his employer. His opinions, like yours, are his own & unless he mentions his employer, it’s irrelevant to the discussion. What you’re doing is cyber bullying - make factual arguments rather than trying to destroy his life.
@aniizzle Police and govt drivers are notoriously irresponsible ! Best wishes to your father for a speedy recovery, he will no doubt be shaken for some time. I hope he pursues a claim for damages against them including emotional distress.
FICAC’s problem is its creation by the previous government as a politically motivated tool to weed out its opposition. They have to act within statutory perimeters if someone makes a complaint. Where there’s smoke there’s fire but here in Fiji, we have wavy ethical lines.
Fiji’s Climate youth activists - this is your moment in time! Rise up and take your place in history, make the govt give you a seat at the discussion table.
The state of Hawaii and climate youth activists reached a settlement both sides describe as “historic” — one that will legally require the state to cut its transportation sector’s planet-warming pollution and to consult with young people about its impact. https://t.co/UGQG8gEJyC
The Fiji Navy wrecked a $25 million dollar state of the art patrol boat and zero consequences. The nurses lose a pulse oximeter, and all of them have to put in to get replacement.
