@brockpierson Y2K bug wasn’t a scam. It was real, caused by the shortsightedness of early programmers needing to squeeze every bit of memory they could.

The issue was corrected by turning the MM:DD:YY date format into MM:DD:YYYY so computers wouldn’t interpret “00” as 1900 and kernel panic.
