The single biggest piece of evidence that politicians are self-centered scumbags:
My colleagues served under Speaker @Paul_Renner and worked with Senator @JayCollinsFL , praising both when it suited them. Now most of them are endorsing a horrible candidate in @ByronDonalds just to further their own political ambitions.
I kid you not when I tell you some of Byron’s biggest fans on X were the same folks standing in line to brown nose Renner, now they casually discard his service and Jay’s.
How do these people sleep at night???
"Where did I grow up, Jay... I grew up here in Florida, right?"
This would be a great argument if Florida law was “You must have grown up in Florida” and now “You must have lived in Florida continuously for the past seven years.”
And the fact that Fishback (I-DC) lies about this indicates that he knows he’s screwed.
“Florida law says that you need to live here for the past seven years in order to be governor, but that doesn’t matter. What really matters is that I grew up in Florida in 1990s. Drop the lawsuit please.”
.@GovRonDeSantis, @RonDeSantis.
“The Only Thing Necessary for the Triumph of Evil is for Good Men to do Nothing.”
You became the greatest Gov in FL’s history - not because you did nothing, but because you did SOMETHING: A lot of GOOD.
Your word carries much weight here. You can help save our beloved state by endorsing the right person for Gov to carry on your sound conservative principles that have made us a state to be proud of.
Evil people are determined to destroy it.
Don’t let them.
That was not Jay Collins’ wife.
The lady to her left in the blue was disrupting and we addressed it.
Her and I had a great conversation afterwards.
Great debate tonight. All the candidates were fair and presented their arguments.
Voters now get to decide.
This debate confirmed two things:
1. Jay Collins is the only one interested in governance instead of Twitter talking points (data centers).
2. Paul Renner and James Griftback have been working together so James can raise money for his grift and Paul and can stick it to DeSantis
“I would break my back to do anything and everything to help our party win because the other side has failed America.” — Jay Collins
Jay said exactly what Governor DeSantis did after the 2024 primary: support the nominee to defeat the left.
Christina, I’ve gone to bat for you more times than you’ll ever know. This is really disappointing. Going after Lieutenant Governor Collins like this is super divisive. You should delete it and apologize to Jay Collins. Especially after going behind the Governor’s back to advise Fishback.
@RonDeSantis@KimberWren A reminder that you’re the man in Florida, everyone else is fighting for second.
You can be the one who turns this race against Byron around.
Jay Collins is the guy with the story and record who can take down Byron.

Byron is a Freedom Caucus conservative & proven FL House leader. He’s committed to continuing our fight to punish child predators, support law enforcement, protect the unborn, honor parents’ rights, defend 2A, and win against the woke left.
He has my endorsement for Governor!
@JamesUthmeierFL The negative reaction to this is completely expected given Byron's criminal history and soft on crime record. Terrible look for you bro
Jay Collins lawyer for this suit lives and practices in Key Biscayne, Florida. I just looked up the case myself. This is the same talking point disaffected Trump unloyalist Jenna Ellis who is working Renner's campaign, said earlier in an X post. The grift and lies have to end at some point. Man up James. https://t.co/iOrXQPwKxQ
While I’m happy he is now saying the right message I have a hard time believing it when the for the last year the messaging has been effectively a “free for all” for data center developers and AI companies.
Looking at the donor rolls I am even more skeptical.
Unfortunately for Florida regulation is the only path available to us. The state government doesn’t have the power to “ban” data centers like some candidates claim, they essentially have no plan.
It would be disingenuous not to admit that @JayCollinsFL was the first candidate to get this right.
Then @Paul_Renner came to the right spot and I’m grateful for the conversations I’ve had with him on this issue.
Now it sounds like @ByronDonalds is saying the right things but only time will tell. I’d love to talk with him specifically about this issue.
I talk about this issue all over the nation, and no, I’m not a fan of “banning” data centers for a plethora of reasons but regulation of how they should operate is a very fair lane and the only reasonable lane.
