@re__hack We had to isolate over the summer before my son had surgery and met granny here for socially distanced ice-cream.
I've noticed school kids use it after school to sit and eat ice-cream/froyo. Nice to have space to sit in the heart of Ballyhack!
Spotted in Ballyhack: Lamp lit picnic tables behind railings, but accessible through open gates. A welcoming ambiance for an evening hot chocolate. Are we invited in? Is it a space for everyone? Who’s allowed to be here? Do you use this gorgeous spot?

Spotted in Ballyhack: a bench by a front door. Somewhere to watch the world go by… a spot for serendipitous conversations, a connection to the street, to strangers, to neighbours. We’ve heard from you that seating is hard to come by. Can we sit down too?
EVENT: Reimagining Ageing in the City at @2royalavenue on Saturday 24th September, 10.30-12.30. What works in an inter generational city? No one is too young to start thinking about and planning for an age-friendly city, so please join us. Everyone welcome!
In Vancouver this summer, lots of streets providing similar traffic calming for local residents & much used tables /chairs /outdoor space for local cafes / communities.
Would any ballyhack residents be keen to swap some car space for community space?
