For someone in NYC who wants to operate legally, by far best way I’ve found to obtain $JEWEL is BTC (Coinbase Pro) -> SimpleSwap -> Harmony (Metamask)
It’s insane how high fees and spreads are when I’ve tried bridging any other way
@insiliconot only a matter of time, China leading as usual.
Uncle Xi went like:
"crypto/blockchain is bad"
"oh wait... we need to release our CBDC"
"nvm guys, blockchain is the future LFG!!!"
*releases digital yuan*
*bans crypto*
How I bought $OCT
1. Transfer $ETH from Exchange such as @Gemini@coinbase to Metamask
2. Use Rainbow Bridge to bring $ETH to Aurora
3. Use @trisolarislabs to change into $wNEAR
4. Use Rainbow Bridge again to transfer to $NEAR Wallet
Btw you can prob skip some of these steps if you have access to an exchange to buy the stuff directly. I am from NY so have a shit ton of regulations :(
ICYMI, @naval and I sat down to chat with @toly, @el33th4xor, and @ilblackdragon, the founders of Solana, Avalanche, and NEAR and deconstruct the L1 wars:
* different paths to scaling
* how they approach the EVM
* pros and cons of each chain

@blknoiz06 Any recs on the best way to buy $ONE? I live in NY so I can't access any of the exchanges where it is sold. I used the horizon bridge but now I am stuck with 1ETH
