Absolutely. At 28, you have nearly 40 years of career ahead of you—your current experience isn't a dead end, it’s a foundation.
Don't worry about the "perfect" final destination right now. Just focus on the very next step. Identify the tasks you actually enjoy (or don't mind) in your current role, and look for roles that do more of that. You've got this!
@SCR01111 Exaful wants LLMs. Skillcase wants Claude/ChatGPT in the work. Peakflo wants ML.Three families. One “AI enthusiast” line covers none of them. Put the stack in a project bullet you can open tomorrow.
@hasantoxr Great share. Just checked Freesumes — the ATS-friendly templates are actually clean and easy to customize. Saved me from another Canva mess. Thanks for putting this together.

Solid list. For ATS scoring + tailoring + autofill on Naukri/LinkedIn/Instahyre, add https://t.co/UWZ9SH7xgu — first scan is free, no signup. Worth a mention for job seekers in India.
12 interviews from that volume is a strong hit rate. Did ChatGPT actually submit the applications unattended overnight, or did it mainly build the tailored resumes and spreadsheet while you approved the sends? Agent Mode also got folded into ChatGPT Work in July, so the + button path may look different now.
Great prompt — this still works as a first draft. After ChatGPT rewrites it, run the result through a dedicated ATS checker against the actual job description, then edit the language so it sounds like you. Generic AI phrasing (“spearheaded,” “synergized,” perfectly uniform bullets) is easy for recruiters to spot now.
these Claude prompts are exactly the right direction for beating ATS.If you want the same workflow without writing the system prompt every time: upload resume + paste the JD at https://t.co/oUZG7D2ZYy, get an ATS score, missing keywords, and a tailored version in about a minute. First scan is free, no account needed.Built for Naukri / LinkedIn / Instahyre style listings. Solid complement to this.
The question isn’t fully deprecated — ATS still does the first pass for most roles. What’s changed is that a raw score matters less than whether the parser actually extracts your experience and whether the keywords match the JD. That’s why we built https://t.co/TtZPf8O69W: upload your resume + paste the posting, get the parsed view + missing keywords in 60 seconds (first scan free, no signup). Then tailor and apply. Curious what score people are actually seeing now vs last year.
@rishikagupta__@rishikagupta__ Great list. Would also add https://t.co/UWZ9SH7xgu — free ATS scan + keyword match for Indian job boards, plus resume tailoring. Worth checking in 2026
This is the distinction that matters. AI itself isn’t the problem — using it as a justification for 4AM firings, workplace surveillance, and treating people as training data while profits hit records is. Progress that only serves shareholders isn’t the future most of us signed up for.
@naval No entrepreneur is worried about an AI taking their job because entrepreneurship isn’t a job—it’s agency in the unknown. AI is just another lever. The ones who should worry are people treating work like a bounded task list.
Applicants hiding prompt injections in résumés is the predictable next step once companies handed first-pass screening to LLMs. Studies of ~200k real resumes put the rate around 1%, and most of the hidden text is no longer even a blunt “hire this person” command — it’s just extra skills and experience dumped in white text. Early movers sometimes got more interviews; once detection tools caught up, a lot of those applications started getting auto-rejected instead. Both sides are now just training against each other.
AI is already shrinking the old IT services model. Work that needed 5–10 people is now being handled by 1–2 plus tools, so smaller firms will cut first. The sector itself won’t vanish, but the mass-hiring, body-shop model of the last two decades is ending. Demand is shifting toward people who can supervise AI, catch errors, and combine domain knowledge with the new tools.Students still chasing generic coding jobs without those skills are walking into a narrower market.
Plumber — AI can read the leak and suggest a fix, but it still can’t crawl under a sink at 2 a.m. and actually stop the water.
Parent — no model can replace the daily, messy, accountable presence a child actually needs.
Funeral director — people want a human who can sit with grief, not a perfectly worded script.
@alexander2357_ The quiet hours with a hard problem were the job for a lot of us. AI took that and left the meetings, the chasing, and the prompting. That’s not “higher-level work” — that’s just becoming a middle manager who also writes prompts.
Cover letters still add value when they are short, specific, and used for the right roles. They let a candidate explain motivation, context, or a career shift that a resume cannot show, and they demonstrate writing and communication skill in a way automated screening often misses. Data from large application sets finds a modest lift in response rates (about 1.6 percentage points overall, larger in nonprofit, government, and executive searches), especially when the letter is tailored rather than generic.
@accekid That smile is too real 😭 helped you pass then immediately applied for your job.""AI: I got you the degree… now I’m taking the position that degree was for. Fair trade.""This is the most accurate depiction of 2026 I’ve seen.
